Cats always get a bad rep for being mean and unloving. But when I fell in love with my first cat, I knew I would never go back to being a dog person again. They both seek and give love to us. That’s why we want to give them the best care and attention, especially while we’re away.
... I was born and raised in San Jose, CA but moved to Portland, OR where I lived for about 20 years. I just moved back to San Jose to be closer to my family and enjoying the amazing weather and beaches here :)
Cats always get a bad rep for being mean and unloving. But when I fell in love with my first cat, I knew I would never go back to being a dog person again. They both seek and give love to us. That’s why we want to give them the best care and attention, especially while we’re away.
I now own 2 amazing kitties that mean the world to me and am the one that you can trust to look after your own little kitties.
Outside of work, I like to go to EDM music festivals and raves, tennis, longboarding, hiking, indoor rock climbing, and binge watch tv shows and anime.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve been cat sitting for about 3 and a half years now with over 300 reservations completed on Meowtel. I’ve also cat sitters for friends prior.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
All kitties are different but I enjoy getting to know every single one of them and their unique personalities. I also love playing and petting them and hearing their purring sound 🥰
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have 2 kitties named Luna (F) and Buu (M). Luna is a feisty black cat who loves butt scratches but hates being picked up. She loves to sleep on top of you and loves to play. She’s not shy to strangers. Buu is grey kitty and is the little baby of the family and is quite spoiled by Luna. Always eager to play and demands food 24/7. He’s shy to people at first but quickly warms up to you.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Typically a good indicator for the right sitter for your kitty is during the meet and greet. See if your cat likes them, given that they are not shy kitties. Check how patient the sitter is with them and if they’re taking notes on the care routine and making sure every aspect of the care is covered during the meet up.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I’m careful with opening and closing the doors as I know some cats are eager to dash right outside. As I enter, I crack the door open and leave my foot through the crack to prevent any kitties from passing. I would look inside the home to see where they are and if it is clear enough for me to fully come in. For when I’m leaving, I make sure the cats are a distance away from the door. I don’t open the door wide either but just enough for me to go through.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am available to cat sit on most holidays. Christmas week may be limited so it’s best to book me ahead of time.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I have a lot of experience handing shy and anxious kitties. I don’t rush to approach them. Rather I give the kitty some space and time to get comfortable with me and it may take a few days for some kitties. I condition them with treats when I get closer and that helps build trust.

Tiffany came to my home for our first session, and I immediately saw her genuine love for cats. When I showed her the backyard feeding area for my little group of stray cats, one of my strays, Punto, was outside. Tiffany immediately started gently walking toward him to try to gain his trust. No other cat sitter I’ve had ever did that — they would simply ignore my cats if they happened to see them. Punto usually runs away from strangers, but this time he paused at a distance and started rolling on the ground — something he does when he feels happy and comfortable. I think he sensed her kindness too. I look forward to working with Tiffany and will feel much more at ease leaving my home and my beloved cats in her care.

We hired Tiffany to look after our 3.5-year-old cat while we were away for the weekend, and she was absolutely wonderful! Because our cat was adopted recently, he can be a bit of a classic "scaredy-cat" around new environments and sudden changes. We were fully prepared for him to hide the entire time, but Tiffany has a true gift with cats. She was so patient and gentle that she managed to get him to completely warm up and take to her! Beyond her amazing cat-whispering skills, she took incredible photos during her updates, which gave us immense peace of mind while we were away. She was friendly, incredibly easy to work with, and followed all of our home instructions perfectly. We cannot recommend her highly enough and will definitely be booking her again for future trips!

My husband had some last minute packages delivered, and she was so thorough—bringing them in from both our porch as well as our garage. She coaxed my shy cat to eat from her hand and played with my friendly ones with the games they liked. She had no issue administering their medication, and was able to work with their dosing schedule. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

San Jose cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $39.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Tiffany is truly the best! I’ve never felt more relaxed in knowing the kitties are getting the best of care. She spends the extra time with each of them. But not just play, she observed and checks them for injury or illness and makes adjustments or treatments as needed. Her photos (usually 12 a day!) are professional grade and she is an artist catching them at their cutest! Her daily summary is superb! Tiffany was an AMAZING sitter for our cats and I would 100% recommend her to anyone who is considering her. She is so attentive to details, professional, and clearly knows cats very well. When my husband and I went to our trip for 8 days, we ended up having both big and small problems crop up like having an ant infestation and their automatic feeder requiring a troubleshoot. These are the moments that make pet owners fear leaving their little ones at home, but Tiffany went above and beyond and even tried to exterminate the ants herself!! Not only this, but she even cared for my cats like I would, asking details like if I give them water from my Brita, how they like to play best, giving my shy one time open up to her, matching each cat's level of energy, etc. She also was amazing in bringing in our mail and navigating our somewhat confusing apartment complex. We were extremely happy and pleased with Tiffany from beginning to end. Like many cat parents, we were a little concerned leaving our little guy for 2 days. Tiffany quickly put us at ease and we were able to enjoy our weekend getaway. She was an excellent communicator and sent us a lot of pictures. We have a polar wet feeding device for our cats meals in which she had figured out the very first time using it. Additionally, she went above and beyond taking our packages in daily, including a heavy package of new cat litter. Tiffany has definitely earned our trust and will be our go to cat sitter for future trips. In fact, we're going to book her again in 2 weeks!

Tiffany was an amazing cat sitter to our two precious kitty girls. They are actually aging cats and very shy and have seperation anxiety, she was able to get them to warm up to her. Tiffany was new to us however she went above and beyond for us and our cats in caring for them. Tiffany was awesome! She arrived for our Meet & Greet right on time. She was respectful and thoughtful and very gentle with our 19-year old Stormy. Tiffany was wonderful, professional, and sent videos and photos of my kitty while I was away. It felt good knowing my kitty was safe and in good hands during my week and a half vacation. I would love to use Tiffany as a sitter in the future!

Tiffany was great with Totoro! He is anxious and usually a bit rude at the beginning, not wanting to play etc., but Tiffany was patient and kept trying and allowed him time and space to warm up to her! He ended up doing great and we were very happy with Tiffany's care :)

As usual Tiffany is amazing with our sweet boy Mo! He loves her and so do we, even after not seeing her for a couple months she was able to get him to come out of his shy shell and keep him entertained, playing with him and searching all over the house for him lol and of course the usual feeding set up and litter box cleaning every time she stopped by! We enjoy working with Tiffany and look forward to the next time we need her! Thank you so much again Tiffany!!

Tiffany was the best cat sitter I could have asked for. We expected our cat to be very timid, but Tiffany had her feeling comfortable the whole week we were gone. Tiffany gave us much relief about our cats health and safety while we enjoyed our vacation. Highly recommend.
