Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have two cats, an eleven year old boy and a ten year old girl. My boy is named Eren and is a fancy tuxedo cat. He loves being mischievous and breaking the rules, as well as playing all day and will do anything to get your attention. My girl is Arya, and she loves a good cuddle session. She hates walking and demands to be carried all over the house, and refuses to let you sit down anywhere thats not in her immediate vicinity.
What is your favorite cat toy?
I love playing with toys that hang from a stick. Maybe it’s because of my own cats, but I love seeing how they jump and chase it. I find that it gets tgem to work out a lot, and tires them out enough to have a good rest.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
My Arya is just the same, so this is a process I’m really used to, whether it’s with others cats or bringing strangers into my own home. I like to take it slow, never approach them first or force them to be near me. I’ll sit somewhere where they can watch me, and play with something I know they like (or have a treat they enjoy). Once the cat has become more used to my presence, and doesn’t feel the need to hide, I’ll try to get them to engage with the treat or toy, without moving from where I am. After that, if they approach me I’ll let them smell me, if not, then i’ll leave a jacket that smells like me somewhere they like to be, so they can still get used to my smell. I think it’s important to take it slow for timid cats.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
