I grew up with cats my whole life in the Bay Area, and since moving I haven’t had one while going through school. As an outgoing and friendly person, I always let the cat come to me first. I grew up with cats my whole life in the Bay Area, and since moving I haven’t had one while going through school. As an outgoing and friendly person, I always let the cat come to me first. I have cat sat for my brother, who now houses my flame point Phoenix (a very chatty girl!), and I have helped out with feeding, playing with, and keeping her happy. As someone with a theatre degree, I can come up with creative ways to adapt to your kitty’s personality and make them as comfortable as possible. If your kitty is friendly, I can play with them immediately. If they are more skittish, I will let them come to me and have them decide the pace they move at before meeting new friends. I can also help with some medication administration if need be, I’m open to learn anything in order to keep your kitty as happy and healthy as possible.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I don’t live with any cats myself (as my roommate is allergic) but I have many back home in the Bay Area! My brother is housing my flame point Siamese Phoenix, and my parents have an Abyssinian named Chai Bella and two rambunctious Bengals named Leo and Duncan (who we call Squirt!)
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I treat the cat and the home like how I would want them to be treated - I will listen to the owners’ requests, and make sure that no windows or doors are opened. Every cat I have ever had has been indoors, and I know various methods to coax them back inside if they get out, how to keep them from getting out, etc. Overall, I make sure they are in a safe environment and that the place is safe for them as well.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I let the cat come to me first - when working with any cat, I need them to trust me and know they’re safe around me. I mostly give them time before they’re ready, and if it’s particularly long, I can encourage using treats or toys (as long as it is within the kitty’s best interest)

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Fullerton cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $33.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
