This is my first time offering cat sitting professionally, but I’ve been the go-to pet sitter for friends and family for years. I’m cal... I’ve grown up surrounded by animals—cats, dogs, reptiles, frogs, fish, even chickens—so I’m no stranger to all kinds of routines, moods, medicine, and messes. But cats? They’ve always had a special place. I speak fluent feline: slow blinks, dramatic flops, strategic ignoring, and all.
This is my first time offering cat sitting professionally, but I’ve been the go-to pet sitter for friends and family for years. I’m calm, observant, and I meet each cat where they’re at—whether that means playtime, quiet company, or just showing up with food and vanishing like a ghost.
I follow instructions exactly, send chill updates (with or without photos), and I’m happy to care for houseplants, bring in mail, and keep things tidy while you're away. Basically, I’m here to keep your cat’s kingdom running smoothly—and respectfully—until you’re back.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
First thing is make sure to read and follow alll rules. You can’t go wrong from there. Leave everything as is, but if something appears dangerous or a notice something was left out the cat could get into I would make sure to message the owner letting them know. I am very observant and always check my surroundings. My top priority is the cat’s safety and well being.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am available during holiday. I don’t typically travel as I am a grad student, so I am always in the LA/OC area.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I personally live in a home with a very anxious cat. I have learned that they need space and time. l would try my best to make them comfortable by not moving too much or being in their space. Maybe even offer a treat that is at a distance they feel comfortable to go to and where I could be near by.

Manuela was the best! My kitties miss her already! I had never used this service before, and am horrible at leaving my cats for a vacation - I can never relax as I am always worried about them. I poured over various profiles and Manuela stood out as someone who truly connected with cats. She was great to work with- and sent sweet photos and updates! My often shy kits warmed up to her on day one. I will definitely have her back anytime I need to go out of town.

Manuela is very experienced in caring for cats and other animals and I trust her fully with my fur babies. She is very attentive to my cats needs and my cats are not the easiest to care for but she manages with no problem! She is also very respectful in my home and will communicate if she is unsure about house rules or feeding instructions. I can’t think of anyone better to look after my cats!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving
- December 22-28: Christmas
- December 29-31: New Year's 2027

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

La Mirada cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $36.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
