Animals - especially cats - are my one true love in life and definitely my greatest passion. Although I hold a college degree in interior architecture, I always come back to looking for ways that I can work with animals in my professional career. I come from a long line of cat ladies and like to think that I inherited my love for cats from my late grandmother, who was always rescuing strays who wandered into her yard. As a naturally quiet and reserved person, I find that I connect with cats easily. If I'm being honest, I like them better than most people! 😸

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

The cats, of course! I love being able to work with them and give their parents peace of mind that their fur babies are getting lots of love and thorough care while they are away. The kitties deserve nothing less than the best! Aside from that, I also enjoy being my own boss. I like being able to set my schedule, work one-on-one with pet parents, and apply my strong sense of self-initiative and responsibility as a cat sitter. These skills are areas where I shine!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have a very active and curious 4-year-old tabby named Blu! He started out as a foster cat, but he melted my heart and I just couldn't give him up! I am also fostering a very sweet 1-year-old tuxedo girl named Tammy!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

The most important thing is to make sure that both you and your cat are comfortable with the sitter. Also, clear instructions and communication are a must! It's essential that the sitter has the information they need to properly care for your kitty.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I would love to meet with you and your cat before the cat sitting job begins! This will help your cat feel better about me coming into their home when you're gone and it will help me be more efficient because I will already know where to find what I need to care for your cat before the job begins. This also gives me time to ask questions before you leave, so that I hopefully don't have to bother you while you're away (but you will still hear from me with daily updates on your kitty, of course!).

I am very careful who I use to care for my clients pets. They have to have cat experience, and want to provide high quality loving care. Communication is critical, and they need to be a trustworthy person being in someone’s home while they’re gone. Hayley checks all those boxes!

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
