I’m also an experienced sitter and have cared for many people’s pets in the past, from kittens to senior cats (and blasphemy, but even dogs 🙀), and I take that responsibility seriously... Hi, I’m Dez! I myself have two kittens, Charles (14) and Kit (15)..they’ll always be kittens to me. I bring that same love and attention to every feline I meet that I have for my own babies. I have a healthy (okay, maybe slightly obsessive) love for cats and genuinely enjoy getting to know each one’s unique personality, whether they’re cuddly like Charles or sassy like my Kit. I’m attentive, reliable, and tuned in to the little details that keep cats happy and comfortable in their space.
I’m also an experienced sitter and have cared for many people’s pets in the past, from kittens to senior cats (and blasphemy, but even dogs 🙀), and I take that responsibility seriously. I love creating a calm, loving environment where each cat feels safe and understood. With a flexible schedule, I can tailor visits to your cat’s routine whether it’s feeding, playtime, cuddles, or just quiet companionship. My goal is always to make your furry family member feel happy, loved, and completely at ease while you’re away, so that when you return, you know they were in the best hands.
I tailor my visits to each cat’s needs, whether you choose a 20‑, 45‑, or 60‑minute visit. During each visit, I provide:

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve been a lifelong cat lover, having grown up with cats and I currently have 2 of my own, an all black pawsitivly cuddly Charles (14) and a sassy tabby named Kit (15), giving me long-term, hands-on experience. In addition, I’ve been a trusted cat sitter for friends, family, and neighbors for about 10 years, providing feeding, playtime, companionship, and overall care tailored to each cat’s personality.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
What I enjoy most about cat sitting is getting to meet and spend time with new feline friends! As much as I love my own two kittens, Charles and Kit, I’m always excited to connect with other cats and learn their unique personalities. I love playing with them and just keeping them company while their humans are away. I even enjoy visiting the Petco adoption center from time to time just to say hi to all the cats there, meeting new babies and giving them a little attention always makes me happy.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
One of my favorite cat sitting experiences was with a little tuxedo kitten who had been found at a truck stop and was adopted. She was very standoffish at first, hiding under the couch and a bit aggressive around food. Over time, with gentle visits, play, and patience, she began to trust me, relax, and even enjoy affection. It was so rewarding to see her evolve being less guarded, more playful, and comfortable and to witness her feeling safe and loved. Moments like that, when a cat truly warms up, are what make sitting so special.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
