What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
“Professionally” I am just getting started. I’m happily retired now and I’ve been a cat-mom since 1973. Memorable cats have been in my life since childhood and I have an abiding love for our furry feline friends. Over the years I’ve learned how to “read” cats, what they like and how they respond. Each cat is unique and they’re all sweet and entertaining…what’s not to love? I’ve consistently had a couple of cats in my home and I’ve often provided cat-sitting for friends. Now that I’m choosing not to take on the care and companionship of another cat in my own home, I would welcome the opportunity to spend some time caring for your furry friend(s). I live in Indio and am an ideal sitter for anyone living in the Sun City Shadow Hills community.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I enjoy holding and petting each kitty, hearing them purr and playing with them when they want hands-on attention. I won’t disturb them when they’re basking in a sunny window or curled up in a warm blanket (but can’t resist giving them a little scritch behind the ear or a gentle rub on the belly at any point in time). They let me know what they want and I respect their needs. Cats are superb cuddlers.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, I am a healthy, active and happily retired woman with plenty of time to make myself available. Weekends, holidays, short-notice…it’s all good!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
