Hi! I'm Naftali, and I hope to be your purrfect sitter. I have been a cat parent for as long as I can remember! I have adopted from fresh kittens to senior cats, to kitties with special needs. My current babies are Angie and Toby (can you guess the inspiration?).
Angie came to me with severe mistrust and behavior issues and now she is the sweetest thing. She was found in an abandoned apartment left by her previous owners with no food or water and naturally very hesitant to allow anyone near her but I won her over with lots of patience and chin scratches. Rest assured I can warm up any kitty with my gentle parenting approach. Toby is now 1 year old and I had him as a fresh baby. He has no fear and loves walking on his leash. He is very spunky and gets Angie out and about with his antics.

I have experience administering medications/caring for kitties post-op, newborns as well as nursing moms. I have previously volunteered with rescue organizations and shelters. I have fostered serveral kitten litters, and have a lot of experience with different personalities and needs. My visit will include feedings, water changes, litter box cleaning, and any additional needs your kitty will have. For longer and overnight visits I am happy to take out the trash/water plants and sweep those pesky litter particles. Did I mention I love taking pictures and I will be sure to send you some great shots of your babies.
I currently work an office 8-5 approx. a 5-minute walk from home in the downtown LB area.
I am available in the mornings and mid-day for quick check-ins and afternoons for more extended visits. Please do not book 45 minute visits for the mornings. I work a traditional 8-5 with an hour lunch break. I am happy to check on your babies before work and during my break (if located within a 10-minute drive from downtown LB). I am most flexible in the afternoons. . If I have any dates blocked off, you need please shoot me a message and I can do my best to make it happen.
A little about myself, I love Long Beach and I am very grateful to live in the downtown area. I enjoy riding my roller skates down the bike path and walking around the neighborhood with Toby on his leash. I have quite a bit of hobbies but that keeps things interesting!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been on Meowtel just over a year and cat sitting for friends and relatives for a few years. I really enjoy meeting new people and getting better at understanding different cat personalities to better my skills and also be a better sitter for them. My favorite thing is when the kitties start recognizing me even when the visits are weeks apart! It makes me feel good to know I had a good impact on them and they feel happy and comfortable.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
I have a soft spot for spunky kitties with big personalities. I had the privilege of sitting a ginger sphynx cat as one of my early visits and she was so fun. I enjoyed watching her antics and the best part was she was a huge cuddle bug and loved to snuggle in my arms.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have two indoor kitties Toby (2) and Angie (6). I named them after characters in my favorite show (The Office) which leaves lots of room for more kitties one day.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
I would say understanding your pet's personality type towards strangers and picking a sitter that best caters to their needs. Meet and Greets are the best way to introduce a sitter to them and it lets your kitty know that their parents trust this person.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes! I am available most holidays! I usually celebrate Christmas Eve in the evening with my family but I am happy to check on kitties when I can.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I often find that timid kitties just need that reassurance that you are there to care for them. I tend to allow them to come to me and patiently wait near them as they scope me out. It helps when other kitties in the home will approach you as the shy kitties can see you are not a threat. When all else fails treats are a great motivator. I especially love the squeeze treats.

She sent us pics every day, gave one of our little ones their eye drops on time, and it was clear our little ones felt really comfortable and safe with her. Naftali even vacuumed around the litter area, and went the extra mile to make sure all of the dishes were clean. My mom and I recently went to New York City for a quick trip, but we were concerned about taking our two young cats (9 month-old sisters) to a pet hotel. We decided on hiring a pet sitter, and decided on Naftali here on Meowtel based on her profile. Wow, did we choose right! She's such a compassionate and patient person; and even our more skittish kitty Rain was comfortable with her. Our more outgoing girl, Misty, absolutely LOVES Naftali; within about 30 seconds of meeting her, Misty had already flopped over and presented her tummy for Naftali to give her a belly rub! I couldn't believe it! To sum up, Naftali is a top-notch cat sitter who is very gentle and patient and goes above-and-beyond. Cats know a gentle soul, and Naftali is definitely that. We highly-recommend her for your cat sitting needs and we're happy that we found her to care for the babies when we're away from home.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Long Beach cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $35.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Naftali (aka Naf) was truly amazing! Don't be concerned with her new Meowtel status as she has been a cat sitter for much longer than her membership shows.
