General Care & Medication:

I have administered cat medication through various methods such as cutting and hiding in food/pill treats, oral syringes, and drops. I take the utmost care and instruction to make it as comfortable as possible with plenty of praise.
In addition, I'm happy to water some plants, bring in the mail/packages, etc.
My own kitty:
Jaja (like the Korean noodle dish, jajangmyeon) 10 years
My purrever baby, he is a large tuxedo boy with a voracious appetite and an even larger heart (metaphorically). He is not for the streets, even though the occasional hunt of a housefly may tell him differently. He keeps me company with abundant meows and greets every guest with a leg rub and arched back.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have 3+ years of professional cat sitting experience, ranging from kittens to senior cats. I adore all breeds and personalities.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I most enjoy watching the endless variety of each cat's quirks and personalities. It's incredibly satisfying to witness a cat get more comfortable the more time I spend with them. As a person who had her cat babysat, it's a comforting feeling to know my cat is well-taken care of and I wish to provide this feeling to other cat owners.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
My favorite cat-sitting experience was also my longest, lasting just under a week. It was my first time caring for FIV-positive cats. Although the cats were initially shy, we became great friends by the end of the sitting. They were a bonded pair of incredibly sweet and playful brothers. I loved getting to know their unique personalities and observing how different they were, despite being from the same litter.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes, I have an 11-year-old domestic medium-hair tuxedo cat named Jaja. He’s incredibly funny and he has plenty of personality.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
My advice is to feel comfortable asking questions and sharing your cat’s specific needs. As your cat’s advocate, it’s important to communicate any special instructions or preferences to the sitter. Additionally, make sure to actively listen to the sitter’s updates and advice to ensure a smooth and well-informed experience.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I start with a consultation to understand their cat’s routine, behavior, and needs. During the sitting period, I provide regular updates (with photos and videos if requested) to keep the owner informed. I remain flexible and adjust care based on the cat’s behavior and any new information.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
The owner and I will review the areas the cat frequents, including usual hiding spots, the cat’s typical daily schedule, and both typical and atypical behaviors. I will provide clear updates (with pictures and videos if requested) to the owner and lock everything when leaving.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, I am typically available during holidays. I’m local to the Bay Area and will be local to LA soon.
What is your favorite cat toy?
I love using a cat dancer, it's very fun to watch cats pounce and jump. But it seems like a cat's favorite toy is my upholstery.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I give timid cats plenty of space and let them come to me if they please. Not every cat I meet needs will want pets, and as a stranger to their home, I respect their space. I will try to engage with playtime and praise but I will never force an anxious cat into a situation they do not want.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Los Angeles cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $36.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

Cynthia and I weren't able to meet before my booking but she asked for explicit notes and even my preferred method to have meds administered to my cat-very thoughtful! She was flexible when I needed to extend my dates, sent me very cute pictures of my cat, and checked in with me about other things that needed doing around the house.
