My connection with cats goes way back. I grew up with two beloved family cats, Hakeem and Garciella, and over the past year I’ve had the chance to care for a wide variety of cats across Europe. Each one has deepened my appreciation for their unique personalities... Hi there! I’m a passionate and reliable cat sitter who has spent the past few months traveling the world while caring for cats through a highly rated house-sitting platform, and I’d love to continue doing what I love here on Meowtel. My connection with cats goes way back. I grew up with two beloved family cats, Hakeem and Garciella, and over the past year I’ve had the chance to care for a wide variety of cats across Europe. Each one has deepened my appreciation for their unique personalities.
I’m experienced with kittens, senior cats, and those with special care needs, including administering daily medication and asthma inhalers. I’m also comfortable adjusting to different temperaments, whether your cat is shy and needs patience and space or outgoing and full of energy.
I understand how hard it can be to be away from your pets. I felt it myself while traveling and missing my own cats. That is why I take extra care to follow routines closely, keep your cat comfortable, and treat them with the same love and attention as family.
I also provide regular updates with photos and make sure communication is clear and consistent, so you always feel at ease while you’re away.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love getting to know each cat’s unique personality and their routines. Whether it is playful energetic cat or a shy timid cat they are all special to me . I especially enjoy the small moments, like nighttime snuggles or being greeted in the morning. One of the most rewarding parts is earning the trust of a timid cat and watching them slowly become comfortable enough to be near me or accept pets. I truly just enjoy spending time with them and making them feel safe and cared for.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
One of my favorite experiences was caring for a cat for six weeks. I had actually looked after him briefly about eight months earlier when he was still a kitten, so it was really special to come back and spend more time with him as he had grown. We bonded quickly, and he became my little shadow throughout the stay. Every morning he would wake me up right at 8am by sitting on my chest and gently pawing at my face. It was such a fun and meaningful experience, and I really loved the time we spent together.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I start by learning as much as I can about your cat’s routine, preferences, and any specific care needs. If possible, I like to do a meet and greet so you and your cat can get familiar with me and I can understand their environment. During the sit, I follow your routine closely and provide regular updates with photos so you always know how your cat is doing. I also stay easily reachable in case anything comes up.

Tomi took care of my two cats at a time when I needed it most. I had to urgently fly back home a few days before the agreed date and return a bit later, and she was very kind and flexible. Although I wasn’t able to properly guide her or even be available on the phone due to personal circumstances, she handled everything smoothly, she coordinated the key handover with my friend, took wonderful care of my cats, and kept me updated with photos and messages. I came back a tidy home. I’m really grateful for her flexibility, reliability, and kindness, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy cat sitter.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Los Angeles cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $36.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
