Cat care is a full-time passion and career for me. My background includes hands-on work at a cat rescue organization, where I oversaw the care of cats across every stage of rescue. I've loved cats of every age, temperament, and level of chaos, and I share my home with three of my own — so I know firsthand that more cats just means more fun.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love getting to know each cat’s personality — the ones who greet me at the door, the ones who watch me suspiciously from across the room, and the ones who pretend I’m not there but secretly look forward to the visits. Every cat is different and that’s exactly what makes it fun.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I like to start with a meet and greet before the first booking — that way everyone meets in person (including the cats!), and you can walk me through exactly how you like things done. This is also a great time to show me your cats’ favorite hiding spots, so I always know where to find them and can tell when something’s off. Before the booking begins, I make sure I have your contact information or that of a trusted backup person, as well as your vet’s details in case of an emergency. I’m also happy to help keep your home looking lived-in while you’re away — bringing in mail and packages, watering plants, and that sort of thing. Then, while you’re away, I stay in close communication and send plenty of updates so you always know how your cats are doing.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I treat every home like my own — I’m careful about locking up and handling keys responsibly on every single visit. With the cats, I stick closely to their normal routine, keep an eye out for anything out of the ordinary (eating, litter box, behavior), and make sure they’re safe, comfortable, and where they should be before I leave. And I always send photo updates so you can see for yourself that everyone’s doing well.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Marina Del Rey cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $39.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
