What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

What I love most about cat sitting is earning each kitty’s trust and discovering their quirks—whether it’s a kitten chasing toys, a senior seeking snuggles, or a special-needs cat needing a gentle touch. With years of experience (even with meds and fluids), I make sure every feline feels safe, loved, and understood—while giving their humans peace of mind.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

I had a 3 week sit for a very timid fluffy calico. Over a week I gained her trust and we got her to purr, knead, and greet me at the door. The owner was worried about her hiding the whole time. Made sure to send tons of pictures and video from my Ray Ban Meta glasses, making it feel as if you are there.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have 3! Milo who’s a flame point medium hair ragdoll (he’s 7); Willow who’s a calico ragdoll (she’s 1.5yrs) and our youngest Eli a Turkish Van who just turned a year. My trio keep me company and the love I have for them is extensive to where I feel the need to spread it to all cats who need it. No matter what’s needed, supplements on hot days, sub Q fluids and injections, special water and top tier food my cats live better than me most days!

Finding the right sitter isn’t just about food and litter—it’s about keeping your kitty happy and giving you peace of mind. Here are some meow-worthy tips: 1. What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

When I meet a new cat parent, I like to start with a little “purr-sonality chat” about their kitty—everything from feeding times and litter box habits to favorite toys, nap spots, and quirks. If your furball needs medication or special care, I go over instructions in detail to be sure I can follow them to the whisker. I always recommend a “meet-and-treat” so your kitty can sniff me out in their own space and you can ask any questions. From there, I send regular “meow-ssages” with photos and updates, so you feel close to your cat even while you’re away. My goal is to keep routines consistent, minimize stress, and make sure both you and your kitty are feline fine.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

Your cat’s safety is always my top priority. I make sure doors and windows are secured before I leave, double-check that food, water, and litter are properly managed, and follow your home routines exactly as instructed. I’m attentive to each cat’s behavior and health, watching for any signs of stress or illness so I can respond quickly if something seems off. I’m also experienced in administering medications, fluids, and special care, which means I can handle both routine needs and unexpected situations calmly and responsibly. Communication is key—I send regular updates so you know your kitty is safe and happy. My goal is to create a secure, comfortable environment where cats can relax and thrive until you return.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes, due to my husbands lack of holidays he’s able to take off, we stay home every holiday. This also goes for me as well. I don’t get many holidays off. When I do I’m home and would love to help those who need cat care.

What is your favorite cat toy?

I’m a big fan of wand toys with feathers—nothing gets those zoomies going like a good “hunt.” Puzzle feeders and treat balls are also whisker-approved favorites for curious kitties. But honestly, the best toy is whatever makes your cat’s eyes sparkle—whether it’s a crinkle ball, a cardboard box, or that mysterious paper bag.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

With shy or anxious kitties, patience and calm energy are key. I let them set the pace—never forcing interaction, but giving them space to come to me when they feel ready. I spend quiet time nearby, speaking softly, offering slow blinks, and using gentle movements so they know I’m safe. I also stick closely to their familiar routines—feeding, play, and litter habits—because consistency helps reduce stress. For some cats, just sitting in the same room while they relax in a favorite hiding spot is enough to build trust over time. My goal is to create a calm, secure environment where even the most timid kitty feels comfortable and understood.

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
