What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve been a cat sitter for 3 years! My experience ranges from kittens to senior cats, spry playful cats to sleepy snuggly cats, and everything in between. I also have experience with medications such as oral, topical, subcutaneous, and inhalers.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Providing a sense of comfort for cat parents! I know how nerve wracking it can be leaving your fur baby, and I like to provide a stellar level of care so your cat feels like they are on a vacation as well. And getting to hang out with new cats is a close second 😸
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
If you’re a new client, thank you for booking with me! First I like to review the reservation request and set up a time for the meet and greet. That’s when we can go over all the details regarding food, litter, key exchange, playtime, and overall care for your fur baby. It’s always nice for me to see any potential hiding spots they may go to if they’re not used to visitors. This is a great time for you to ask any questions as well! My goal is to provide as much comfort and care for your cat while you’re away, and you’ll see all of that with each visit update.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes! I do most of my travel off season so am usually available for most holidays. Feel free to message me if I’m not showing availability for an upcoming holiday.
What is your favorite cat toy?
I will always reach for a wand toy as it tends to be the majority favorite and even gets the shy cats to come out and play. I’m really loving the treat puzzles and see how they’re becoming more popular.

Halley was absolutely fantastic - she looked after our cat and a friends for 2.5 weeks while we traveled for the holidays and it gave us SUCH peace of mind. She was so thorough and helpful, and sent great updates and lots of pictures. She did feedings, playtime, litter cleanup, and applied topical medication for our cat. She was super fast to respond and was very helpful and friendly. Our cats were so happy and well taken care of. Definitely recommend!

She sent me several photos every time and was very responsive if I had any last-minute needs. She played with them each visit to get some of their energy out and always ensured they had enough food, water, and clean litter. She’s my go-to, and I highly recommend Halley!!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving
- December 22-28: Christmas
- December 29-31: New Year's 2027

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Pasadena cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $33.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
