Hi, my name is Cyra! I received my bachelor’s degree in Global/International studies from UC Riverside and am currently in Optometry school working towards my doctorate. I have always grown up with animals and currently have 3 girl cats and 1 boy dog (Shiba 16, Chanel & Cleo 7, and Chico 16).

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
My favorite part about cat sitting and just cats in general is seeing how different each one of their personalities is. Cats are the funniest animals in my opinion because they have so much attitude in such a small body.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Find somebody that that not only has experience with cats and animals in general but someone that knows how to handle your specific type of cat. I am talking about personality wise, not necessarily breed. If you have a shy or timid cat, you want to make sure that the sitter you are choosing knows how to approach that type of personality and will be very gentle in how they behave with your baby. Each cat is very unique and it’s important to approach one in a unique way to ensure they feel the most safe and comfortable with the sitter.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I make sure to ask the cat parent any specific things that the cat likes or requires. My eldest cat, for example, will not eat her wet food unless it’s all pushed into the center of the bowl. And most the time she requires somebody to pet her in order to finish her meal. Little things of that sort might seem so minute to us as people but it is very important to keep that routine for a cat.

We had an incredible time having Cyra watch our kittens. She was quick to respond and attentive to our questions throughout the entire time she watched them. I know I speak for both my wife and I when I say we were nervous at first because it was the first time away from our kittens and for such a long time. All of our stress and anxiety melted away when we knew Cyra was watching them for us. There were daily updates and pictures for us the whole time we were gone. Cyra would be a welcome addition to anyone looking to have a caring attentive and prompt sitter. Thank you so much Cyra from all of us. Cyra was recommended to us by our usual cat sitter in the area and she was great! We were gone for 12 days (the longest away from home) and she made us feel very comfortable leaving our two cats. We have used Cyra to babysit our cats forlong vacations twice now and I just have to say she is an amazing human being and a wonderful cat sitter!! She loves on my kitties just like i do when I’m home so my kitties are not only getting fed while I’m gone but they’re getting love too. Cyra took amazing care of our 4 cats!! She even got my scaredy cat Belle to come out from under the bed!! A first!! All the cats were well fed and had lots of attention from Cyra. She sent me adorable pictures of my crew during my whole vacation also. I will definitely be using Cyra again. She took all the worry out of leaving the kitties for two weeks. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Pomona cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
