What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

7 years of cat sitting experience ranging from watching 2-3 cats of family members and/or friends. Tasks include: wet & dry food feeding, water refill, litter box cleaning, room care (vacuum, throw-up clean up, any other messes), medication administration, enrichment (treats, playing, petting)

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Nothing makes me happier than 1) knowing that I’ve added value in their life by being present while they may be missing their parents, and giving attention wherever they’ll let me. In my experience, it makes all the difference in their quality of life when I’ve had a cat sitter who has really cared for them while I’ve been away vs when they’ve been more isolated. Another aspect is 2) ensuring that I’ve cared for them in a way that continues their safety and wellbeing. When I’m aware, I stress about things like accidentally not closing doors, accidentally getting let out, not getting proper medication, etc), so it’s also important to me to execute in the way that is being asked!

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

One of my favorite sittings was when I cared for 2 long haired brown cats. They looked very similar but 1 cat was extremely friendly and the other was very shy and skiddish. The friendly cat couldn’t hurt a fly which was nice because I could easily give him the attention he wanted bc he let me. When I was able to convince the the other cat, who was more skeptical, to trust me through patience and persistence, it was so gratifying and I could see how excited he was to be pet. He was just too shy!

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
