I've been cat sitting for friends & family for many years, and now professionally with Meowtel for over three years! One of the things I'm especially known for is taking the best photos & videos (might have something to do with my photography background).
Raising my own kitty (now 9yrs, Maine Coon mix) taught me to learn and trust a cat's communication style first and foremost. Each cat has a distinct personality and ability to communicate with us. Best of all, every cat is the cutest cat in the world. I don't know how they do it... Always ready for the needs of your cats and kittens!

Working with Meowtel has given me ample experience with cats of various medical needs. This has been one of the most valuable aspects of my experience as a sitter. The number one thing I've learned from these experiences is how to allow a cat to really know you and trust you through the process. Sometimes the key is treats, sometimes the key is petting and words of encouragement, sometimes it's just letting the cat have the time and space to come to you when they're ready. No matter the personality of the cat, I feel confident in giving them the medical care they need along with the emotional care to make it a stress-free experience.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have an orange maine coon + tabby mix named Steven Spielberg (but he goes by Bergs). I've had him since he was just a few weeks old and just a handful size of fluff!
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes! Due to the nature of my work I almost never work on holidays and have consistently been able to take on reservations then!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
First and foremost I always give a cat their space. I find that once a cat recognizes that I'm there to feed them and take care of them, they're a lot less shy. It's all about respecting their time and space, and sometimes giving a little treat for encouragement.

We had Kim stay overnight with our 4 cats and 1 foster for 2 days. She was great with the kitties and sent photos / updates twice a day! She also gave medication to our cat that needs his daily Prozac without any issues and helped feed the outdoor neighborhood strays that will come by as well! Overall we had a great experience with Kim! Really appreciate the care and attention she gave!

Kim was a fabulous sitter for our cat Stanley! Very communicative, sent wonderful photos, and she was super on top of all instructions from our meet and greet. She was a big relief to me when I realized too late I’d forgotten to adjust our dry food autofeeder to “away” mode. It was super easy to message Kim and she made sure Stanley had his proper amount of dry food while we were gone. So thankful! Plus, Stanley really enjoyed her visits!!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Pasadena cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $33.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

This was our second time hiring Kim to come watch our cat because we know our cat likes Kim, and Kim takes good care of her! We get picture updates and antidotes of how she's doing. When we come home everything seems well in the house.

This was my first time using Meowtel and I'm a super new cat mom, so I was fairly nervous leaving Soongah alone. Kim was super reassuring during the initial meet and greet and she sent a lot of photos on her visits to keep me updated on how Soongah was doing. I appreciated her keeping me in the loop and she was super flexible with adjusting to Soongah's needs even throughout her visits.
