I have two kitties - Simba (a short haired orange tabby, my baby boy) & Shadow (a long hair black Chantilly-Tiffany) of my own that I love so much. They are 12 years old and I have had them since they were kitties! They are my babies and I adore them so much... Hello! My name is Ashley and I have lived in the Glendale area a little over a year but have worked in the area for about 6 years. I am a Social Worker for children and youth in foster care and am very passionate about supporting and advocating for them. I wanted to cat sit simply because I love cats and I travel often, so I find it important to have someone you trust that can check on your babies without a worry.
I have two kitties - Simba (a short haired orange tabby, my baby boy) & Shadow (a long hair black Chantilly-Tiffany) of my own that I love so much. They are 12 years old and I have had them since they were kitties! They are my babies and I adore them so much. They are both very vocal and cuddly (when they want to be), and we are very attached. They bring me so much joy and I am grateful to have them to love.
I have experience with other kitties that I have watched for short and extended periods of time for friends. I also have some experience mostly with oral medication I have given my own kitties in their food or down their throats. I have such a soft spot for kitties and want to make sure they have all the love they deserve and feel as comfortable as possible with me while their owners are away! I am very intentional during visits about spending time with the kitties through feeding, playing, cleaning litter box, talking, and relaxing with them. I check on each kitty and spend intentional time with each kitty purposely. I am also happy to help get your mail and water your plants, and do any cleaning you may need during my visit!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have my own two kitties but I have been around cats since I was in high school (over 10 years ago). My best friend and her family have had several kitties (up to 4 at a time), and I have watched them on several occasions while they've been out of town for shorter and longer periods of time (up to a week or a little past). I love spending time with their cats and giving them a familiar face while their parents are away!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
I would suggest getting to know the person you're wanting to hire by meeting them first and maybe even their kitties! You want to see if your personalities mesh and how your cat responds to them, and if possible, do a meet and greet with your kitty so they can know who this new person is and all their kitty smells!
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite cat toy hands down are the crinkly ones. I have a set of lemon and watermelon ones that my kitties adore. I've also come to love makeshift toys such as cardboard boxes and the top of checkbook- my cats go crazy for those, or hairties!

Ashley is wonderful! She is kind, professional, and very attentive to all of your kitties needs. She pays attention to detail, and goes the extra mile to make sure your kitty gets lots of love and attention (if it’s welcomed of course!) on top of the usual feeding/refill duties. She sends great photo and video updates, and always replies in a timely fashion. Will definitely be booking Ashley again!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Glendale cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $33.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
