Loving And Reliable Pet Care

I'm Jess

Cat Sitting in Roseville, CA

I've been a devoted cat parent for over a decade, and caring for cats isn't just a hobby. It’s a huge part of who I am. I currently share my home with five cats: three resident cats and two foster cats. Every cat I've welcomed into my life has taught me something unique, and I truly treat every cat I care for as if they were my own.

My first cat, Prince, has been with me for 11 years. I adopted him after he was found as a stray, and he arrived with kidney disease and severe dental issues that required a full mouth extraction. Through consistent veterinary care, a prescription diet, and lots of love, he's now thriving and living his happiest life. My second cat, Elvis, was adopted from a shelter and was recently diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), so I'm experienced with managing special diets and monitoring digestive health. My youngest resident cat, Bella, was a stray I rescued and later adopted. She was recently diagnosed with asthma, which has given me experience caring for cats with respiratory conditions and staying attentive to changes in their health...

She was recently diagnosed with asthma, which has given me experience caring for cats with respiratory conditions and staying attentive to changes in their health.

Because of my own cats' medical needs, I understand how important it is to stay on top of wellness exams, medications, nutrition, and daily routines. I know how much trust it takes to leave your cat in someone else's care, and I promise to follow your instructions carefully so your cat receives the same love and attention they're used to when you're away.

Fostering has become one of the most rewarding parts of my life. One of my current foster cats was completely feral when he arrived. After three months of patient, daily socialization, he transformed into a friendly cat who now enjoys being petted, hand-fed, and even carried. Another foster came to me with dermatitis and stomatitis. After months of medication, special diets, and dedicated care, she's healthy and ready to find her forever home. Watching frightened or sick cats grow into confident, happy companions is why I love fostering so much.

I'm comfortable administering oral medications, using syringes for feeding or medication, applying topical medications, and bottle-feeding kittens. I'm experienced caring for senior cats, cats with chronic medical conditions, shy or fearful cats, and kittens that require extra attention. I always pay close attention to changes in behavior, appetite, litter box habits, and overall well-being because I know that small changes can be important.

During every visit, my priority is making your cat feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether your cat enjoys interactive play, quiet companionship, or simply having someone respect their space, I'll tailor my visits to their individual personality. I'll also keep you updated with detailed visit notes and plenty of photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away.

What sets me apart is that caring for cats isn't just something I do; it's my passion. I regularly rescue stray cats, assist with TNR efforts, foster kittens and adult cats, and help them find loving homes. My dream is to open an animal sanctuary one day so I can continue helping cats in need on an even larger scale.

To me, cats are family, and if you trust me with yours, I'll care for them with the same patience, compassion, and dedication that I give my own every single day.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

I would recommend looking for someone who genuinely understands cats and respects that every cat has a different personality and routine. Experience with shy cats, senior cats, and cats with medical needs can make a big difference if something unexpected comes up. Before hiring a sitter, I also encourage cat parents to schedule a meet and greet. It's a great opportunity to see how the sitter interacts with your cat, discuss your cat's daily routine, medications, favorite toys, hiding spots, and any special instructions. Trust and communication are just as important as experience. Most importantly, choose someone who will care for your cat as if they were their own. Your cat deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I like to start with a meet and greet so I can get to know you and your cat before the visits begin. During this time, I'll learn about your cat's routine, feeding schedule, medications, litter box habits, favorite activities, and any behaviors or health concerns I should be aware of. I also like to know where important supplies are kept and discuss any home care instructions. During each visit, I'll follow your cat's routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and secure. Whether your cat loves to play, enjoys cuddles, or prefers quiet companionship, I'll respect their personality and let them set the pace. After every visit, I'll send detailed updates along with photos so you know exactly how your cat is doing. My goal is for you to enjoy your time away with complete peace of mind, knowing your cat is receiving loving and attentive care.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

Your cat's safety and your home's security are always my top priorities. I carefully follow all care instructions and pay close attention to your cat's behavior, appetite, water intake, and litter box habits so I can quickly notice if anything seems unusual. I'm very mindful when entering and leaving the home to prevent indoor cats from slipping outside, and I'll always make sure doors, windows, and gates are secure before I leave. I'll also double-check that food, water, litter boxes, and any medications have been taken care of before ending each visit. I respect every client's home as if it were my own. I keep everything clean and tidy, protect your privacy, and maintain clear communication throughout your trip. If I ever notice anything concerning, I'll contact you right away so we can decide on the best course of action together.

Jess is a very caring person and you can tell that caring for animals is her passion. Jess has her own cats and you can see just how much they love and trust her. She’s very good at getting cats to come out of their shell. She understands the patience and love it takes to earn a cat’s trust and is willing to put the work in. I can’t recommend her enough.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Roseville cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
