What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I like to start with a meet-and-greet so I can get to know both you and your cat. Weāll go over feeding schedules, favorite toys, routines, medications (if needed), and any quirks that make your cat unique. During visits, I make sure your cat has fresh food and water, a clean litter box, and plenty of attention. I also send updates and photos so you can enjoy your time away knowing your cat is being well cared for.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I am very detail-oriented when it comes to caring for both you cat(s) and your home. Before each visit, I carefully review the care instructions so I know the feeding routine, litter box setup, preferred hiding spots, and any special notes. I am also someon who double- and triple-checks things. Before ending a visit, I will do a final walkthrough to confirm everything is in place: food, water, litter, lights, locks, and anything else requested. I will also send updates and photos so you know exactly how your cat is doing and that your home was left secure.
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite ātoyā is actually a combination of interactive play and treats. My rescue, Sasha, is very food motivated and gets bored with traditional toys pretty quickly, so Iāve learned to make playtime feel more like a real hunt. I use laser pointers, feather wands, or toys that let her stalk, chase, and pounce. Once she has successfully ācaughtā her target, she gets a small treat as a reward. I love this approach because it taps into a her natural hunting instincts and keeps her mentally engaged. One of my favorite parts of cat sitting is figuring out what motivates each cat and finding the toys, games, and activities that bring out their personality.

āāāāā Vishal was amazing with our kitties, Theo and Tessa, while we were away on vacation from July 4ā15! We felt completely at ease knowing they were in such good hands. He followed all of our feeding instructions, made sure they had the proper servings of wet food, and spent time playing with and grooming them. He also checked their water fountain and Litter-Robot to make sure everything was working properly. We especially loved getting daily updates and picturesāit was so nice seeing our babies happy and well taken care of while we were away. Theo and Tessa absolutely love him! š» Vishal is reliable, caring, and very attentive. Definitely 5 stars! Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

San Bruno cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $40.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

I had Vishal take care of my cat Salem when I was at work and we were having apartment inspections and fire alarm testing. Vishal did a great job watching Salem when I needed him. He made sure he had a safe place to be and checked in on him regularly so he wouldnāt feel lonely. He also sent me regular updates so I knew he was ok and wouldnāt be an anxious mother. 10/10 would recommend
