I am comfortable administering medications, following special diets, and tending to both shy and outgoing cats. I always make sure to keep litter boxes clean, provide fresh food and water, and offer plenty of affection and playtime—tailored to your cat’s preferences. I am also happy to send daily updates and photos, so you can feel at ease knowing your pet is in good hands.
I have always had a kitty in my life. I started with just one but then decided to get a companion for the just one. I then made a home for a Farrel that needed love and lots of care. Our little Farrel girl soon learned to trust and love us. At one time I have had six. Each kitty has their own special personality and needs. First you need to earn their trust to be able to care for them and have fun with playtime.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have over 10 years’ experience caring for kitties. Caring for my neighbors, friends, and family member kitties while they travel or away from home. Having cared for my own kitties, which I have had six at one time, I have also given a feral kitten a loving and safe home after she was caught to ensure she was safe and loved finally earning her trust.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I enjoy meeting new cats and experiencing various breeds and personalities. I get my kitty fix without adding more to my furbabies at home. I love meeting new kitties!
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
One of my most rewarding cat sitting experiences involved gaining the trust of a cat who was having a difficult time with trust. I could not pet him, but I did developed enough trust to play and offer treats.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I currently have three rescue cats: Jaxs (6, from Mexico and needs special attention for separation anxiety), and Lola and Luna, sweet littermates also rescued from Mexico.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
When working with a new cat parent, my typical process focuses on preparation, a gradual introduction, and patience to help both the cat parent and kitty to feel comfortable.
Are you usually available during holidays?
During the winter holidays I am available.
What is your favorite cat toy?
Our Kitties enjoy Catit Design Senses Circuit toys. Our two youngest Kitties enjoy chasing and hitting the ball before they cat nap.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
For timid or anxious cats, I would approach them slowly, let them initiate contact, use treats for positive reinforcement, keep a routine, and avoid sudden noises or forced interaction.

I’ve scheduled Pamala as my cat sitter twice now, and she is absolutely wonderful! My two cats have completely fallen in love with her, which gives me so much peace of mind whenever I’m away. It’s clear that Pamala genuinely loves cats and puts a lot of care into making sure they are happy, comfortable, and healthy. She spends time playing with them, gives them treats, and keeps them active and engaged. She sends plenty of pictures from every visit, and you can really see how comfortable and happy the cats are with her. She even managed to get both of my cats comfortable enough to sit on her lap for cuddles! Pamala also does an amazing job keeping everything clean, especially the litter area. You can tell that she really prioritizes the cats’ health, hygiene, and overall well-being. I also really appreciate how thorough she is. She makes sure to meet with both the cats and their owners before the first visit so she can learn their routines, personalities, and needs. Throughout the entire sitting period, she goes above and beyond to make sure she has all the information she needs and communicates if anything comes up. She is also fantastic at handling unexpected situations, which makes it so much easier to relax while I’m away. Knowing that my cats are safe, healthy, happy, and receiving lots of love makes such a difference. Pamela always sent frequent updates and went above and beyond in taking care of my cats. She was very knowledgeable about caring for cats and clearly treats them with a lot of care and affection. She provided peace of mind that my cats were in good care while I was away. When she met with me and my cats for an initial visit, she was fantastic in setting up a system that would ensure the cats were safe, healthy, and happy. I really can't sing her praises enough! I can also see that my cats approved of her in the update pictures as they looked very happy while under her care.

Pamela did amazing with my kitties! I had specific feeding instructions that she followed very well. My home was super clean upon my return with all cat food dishes done. I got updates about how much each kitty ate and how social they were being too! Pamela went above and beyond by adhering to my kittie’s normal meal times since they have an all wet food diet. Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

San Diego cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $33.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
