During my visits, I like to keep things calm and comforting. I’ll follow you... I'm Tina, a proud cat mom to two kitties, Athena (my orange girl) and Crush (my sweet tabby boy). I’ve always been a cat lover, and caring for my own cats has taught me how to read body language, respect boundaries, and adjust to all kinds of personalities, whether your kitty is super social or needs a little time to warm up.
During my visits, I like to keep things calm and comforting. I’ll follow your cat’s lead and let them decide how they want to interact, whether that’s playtime, cuddles, or just hanging out while they nap nearby. I’m reliable, gentle, and always make sure your cat feels safe and loved while you're away. Plus, I’ll send you updates and cute pics so you never feel too far from your kitty!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes I do! I have two sweet cats of my own, Athena, a 3-year-old orange American Shorthair who’s curious and independent, and Crush, a 2-year-old tabby who’s playful, snuggly, and full of personality.
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite toy is the classic feather wand. It’s such a simple toy, but it brings out their hunting instincts and gives us a fun way to bond and burn energy.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
For timid or anxious cats, I always move slowly and let them set the pace. I never force interaction, I give them plenty of space and let them come to me when they’re ready. I speak softly and avoid eye contact at first to show them I’m not a threat. Sometimes I’ll just hang out quietly so they can get used to my presence without pressure. I also pay close attention to their cues, if they’re not ready for pets or play, that’s totally fine. It’s all about building trust gradually and helping them feel safe in their own space.

Tina was absolutely amazing. Not only did she take care of my cats while I was away but she spent time playing with them and cleaning up after they knocked things off counters. She was also incredibly proactive and responsive when my litter robot was acting up. She went above and beyond and I would have her back in a heartbeat.

My cat Simon is 5 years old and is very nervous around other people. Tina has taken care of him multiple times and she has taken the time to get to know what he is comfortable with and now they are great friends. Simon had a urinary blockage a year ago and is on prescription food and Tina is the best with making sure he eats all his food along with texting me updates after cleaning his litter box. It can be difficult leaving your cat who has been sick in the past but with Tina I know she will take care of him the way I would. Tina is also very respectful of my home when she has watched Simon, I always come home to a clean space and a happy cat. Tina is extremely trustworthy and caring and gives everything she does 100%. I would recommend Tina to anybody who wants to be 100% sure they are leaving their fur baby with someone who will love them and care for them the way they would.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

San Diego cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $33.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
