What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve been cat sitting for over 20 years, starting with neighbors’ cats when I was younger and quickly becoming the go-to sitter for friends and family. Over the years I’ve cared for cats with all kinds of personalities, and I’m comfortable with everything from feeding and litter box care to playtime and even giving medicine when needed.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

While a cat that’s friendly from the start is purrfect, there’s nothing like the moment when a shy cat finally warms up and decides I’m safe. That little look of trust or the choice to curl up nearby always feels special, and it’s what makes cat sitting so rewarding for me.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I let timid cats set the pace and make sure they never feel pressured. I keep a calm presence, move slowly, and stick to the routines they already know so everything feels familiar. My best friend has a very timid cat who mostly loves me from afar, and I’ve learned to appreciate the little moments she chooses to say hello or give a quick thanks for the food before scurrying off. With patience, consistency, and gentleness, even the shyest cats learn they can feel safe with me.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
