As a proud cat mom myself, I understand that every cat has their own qu... With a background in veterinary care, I’ve had the privilege of working with cats of all personalities in their most vulnerable moments. Over four years in the field, first as a kennel assistant and later as a veterinary assistant, I gained hands-on experience handling every type of feline, from the sweet and easygoing to the spicy and strongwilled.
As a proud cat mom myself, I understand that every cat has their own quirks and comfort zones. Whether your kitty wants an energetic playmate or simply someone to sit quietly and keep them company, I’ll tailor each visit to their needs.
I work full-time with remote flexibility, which gives me the flexibility to spend extra time with your cats during the day. I’m happy to offer extended visits, quality companionship, and peace of mind knowing your furbabies are in experienced, loving hands.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
A have two boys. Bob is an 8 year old who I've had for 7 years now. I found him living in a hotel parking lot in Orlando. I immediately fly him home with me, and he's traveled with me across the country in my own relocation. He is the easiest and nicest of cats. Cappy is a 2 year old who I received as a kitten. He was the last one in a litter from a stray. Nobody wanted him, likely due to him being black. He is a lively and spicy boy who has tested my limits.
What is your favorite cat toy?
I love feather or string teasers. They offer a real exercise benefit without leading to frustrating since there is a tangible object they can catch. A feather teaser can get a cat running around, jumping up and down, or just happily batting while on their back.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I like to have timid cats take it at their own pace, ensuring not to cross their boundaries. I'll make myself present for them, being around and offering play and treats. But it is up to them to take that. Over time, they recognize that I'm not going to violate their boundaries, and are more willing to approach me.

When he was acting a little off one day while we were away, Katie took extra time to find him and gently soothe him. I highly recommend Katie as a cat sitter and will absolutely be using her again.

I hired Katie on very short notice to care for my cat while I left the country for 10 days. My cat is a bit anxious when we're separated, since she's a rescue, but Katie played with her a ton and gave her just the right attention she needed. Katie followed all my instructions as requested and let me know exactly what she observed after each visit. As a result I found my cat a lot less stressed when I got home than other times when I've gone away! Katie was also extremely easy to communicate with, and clear, always sending pictures from her visits and very prompt with key exchange etc. I will definitely hire Katie to care for my cat next time I leave town!

Katie was an absolutely wonderful sitter for our cat! She was responsible, communicative, and followed all of our instructions perfectly. She went above and beyond to care for our kitty, making him feel loved and comfortable while we were away. Katie administered his pills, ensured he ate his special diet, and spent plenty of time playing and snuggling with him. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

San Francisco cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $39.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
