I currently share my home with Fish 🐈, my energetic orange tabby kitten, so I know firsthand how much patience, playtime, and attention young cats need — as well as the calmer routines that older cats prefer.
Before that, I worked at an animal shelter, where I cared for cats and dogs, handled feeding schedules, cleaned litter boxes and living... Hi! My name is Irene and I'm a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for cats of all personalities.

Before that, I worked at an animal shelter, where I cared for cats and dogs, handled feeding schedules, cleaned litter boxes and living areas, and learned to read subtle signs of stress or illness in animals who couldn't tell me in words. That experience taught me to stay calm, observant, and gentle no matter the situation.
When I sit for your cat, I treat them like my own: plenty of playtime, cuddles if they want them, space if they don't, and clear updates so you're never left wondering how your baby is doing. I'm reliable, detail-oriented, and genuinely happy spending my time with cats.

Yes! I have a 5 month old kitten named Fish. He is an extremely chaotic orange tabby 🐈 that demands my attention 24/7 (which is totally fine since he deserves the world)!
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
When working with cat parents, I treat every situation the way I'd want to be treated if I were in their shoes. We'll start with a meet-and-greet to get acquainted — I'll learn your cat's feeding schedule, favorite toys, routines, and all the little quirks that make them unique. During each visit, I'll refresh food and water, clean the litter box, and make sure your cat gets plenty of love and attention. You'll also get photo updates after every visit!

It was about time that she got a cat herself! Irene pays attention to the little details of what a cat likes. She’s managed to play with both Vamp and Luna (both have a very different playing style). Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
