With a background in trauma-informed care, Iām especially attuned to feline body language and subtle cues, allowing me to adapt to what makes your cat feel most comfortable ā whether thatās playtim... Hi, Iām Christine ā a lifelong cat person and proud guardian of two rescue cats of my own. I understand that every cat has a unique personality and comfort level, and I approach each visit with patience, gentleness, and respect for their boundaries.
With a background in trauma-informed care, Iām especially attuned to feline body language and subtle cues, allowing me to adapt to what makes your cat feel most comfortable ā whether thatās playtime, quiet companionship, or simply a calm presence in their space.
During visits, I provide attentive care, fresh food and water, litter maintenance, enrichment, and plenty of photo updates so you can relax while youāre away.
My goal is simple: your cat feels safe, your home is respected, and you return to a happy, well-cared-for companion.

I have a Lily - sheās 12 yrs old and thriving with Stage 2 Kidney Disease. She is curled up on top of me every snuggle second she can get. She gray & white, with the pinkest nose and the greenest eyes. And I have a Willow ā sheās 5 years old calico, who was a late bloomer in learning out to cat. Now that sheās gotten it down, sheās a big curious fluff of mush.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Always have a meet & greet, whether in person or over video. Follow your intuition. And always, read the full profile.
What is your favorite cat toy?
āMr. Wireā - you know that genius thing wire with a couple crunched up cardboard clips on either side. Every cat Iāve ever experienced, goes whisker bananas over that toy!

We chose Christine because of her warm, fun personality that came through in her profile, and she absolutely lived up to our expectations. She spent the full visit of 9 days with our pets, which we truly appreciated. Unlike some other pet sitting experiences we have had, we felt confident that our pets were receiving the time and attention we paid for. Christine was attentive to all of our cats' needs. She had no problem handling their raw food diet, managing hairballs, and even cleaning weepy eyes when needed. Throughout our vacation, she sent plenty of photos and updates, which gave us peace of mind and allowed us to fully enjoy our trip knowing our pets were in great hands. Christine was also incredibly meticulous and detail oriented. She always cleaned up after our pets and left everything tidy and organized after each visit. It was clear that she paid attention to the little things, which gave us even more confidence that our cats and home were being cared for with the same level of attention we would give ourselves. Christine was the perfect person to care for my cat (who is very sensitive!). She sent me videos and updates every day and spoke to my kitty so sweetly that usually she doesnāt come out of hiding when someone knew is there but she came out on the second day with Christine! Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Santa Monica cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $37.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
