During the beginning of the pandemic, I spent a couple of years fostering cats, welcoming them into my home and helping them transition into their forever families. That experience deepened my understanding of cat behavior and the different kinds of care and patience each cat needs... Hello fellow cat lovers! My name is Zainab, and I’m excited to be your go-to cat sitter. Cats have always held a special place in my heart, and they’ve been an important part of my life for as long as I can remember.
During the beginning of the pandemic, I spent a couple of years fostering cats, welcoming them into my home and helping them transition into their forever families. That experience deepened my understanding of cat behavior and the different kinds of care and patience each cat needs.
At the end of 2023, I adopted my own soul kitty, Harry, when he was just a few months old. While I’ve taken a pause from fostering to focus on raising him, he’s older now and I’m excited to spend more time caring for other cats again.
I have experience caring for kittens (around 5 months and up), adult cats, and senior cats, and I know that every cat has their own personality, routines, and comfort needs. I’m happy to provide attentive, thoughtful care so your cat feels safe, comfortable, and well loved while you’re away. 🐾

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes! I have one kitty named Harry who is 3 years old. He’s orange and white, very sweet, and endlessly playful. He had a rough start to life and I rescued him from a difficult home when he was just a few months old. I spent the first year we had together helping him feel safe and learn how to just be a cat. Watching him grow into the confident, goofy little guy he is now has been incredibly special.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Generally, yes. I’m usually available during holidays and understand that many people travel during those times. Occasionally I take a holiday trip myself, but that’s pretty rare, so most of the time I’m happy to help care for your cat while you’re away.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I approach anxious or timid cats with patience and respect for their boundaries. I never force interaction and let them set the pace while they get comfortable with me. I’ll sit quietly, speak softly, and give them space so they can observe me first. Over time, most cats warm up once they realize I’m a calm and safe presence. I also try to stick closely to their normal routines since familiarity helps reduce stress.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Sunol cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $37.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
