What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have many years of cat sitting experience. I have been doing it off and on since I was 15. It's my absolute favorite!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Spending time and just playing with cats. I also love to brush them because it can be a great bonding experience.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

I love getting to meet new cats and learning their individual personalities. My favorite cats are of course the ones that love to snuggle. I still love shy cats too and it's an honor to earn their trust.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

My cat's name is Widdle, he is a Turkish Angora. He is such a sweet snuggle bug!!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

My best advice is go with your gut. Look for the true animal lovers and you can't go wrong.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

Always make sure to be careful when opening and closing doors, I know some cats love to explore the outdoors even when they aren't supposed to be out. You always have to be on alert.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I am available pretty much every holiday.

What is your favorite cat toy?

My favorite cat toy is probably a feather on a string. It's great for engagement and exercise.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I think it's best to get on their level (physically). As well as give them space and time to feel comfortable with you and your smell. Another tip is try giving a few slow blinks to show the cat you feel safe.

We have been lucky to have Ashley watch our shy yet codependent Ella Bella twice now, once over a long holiday weekend and again when we had to take an unexpected trip to deal with a family tragedy. Ashley is very communicative with us, very gentle and understanding with our sweet nervous kitty, and very kind to everyone. Ashley, was great!! I have kitties. A boy who is a people person and a girl who can be very shy. But both my kitties took well to Ashley. She kept in communication with me, sent me photos of each visit. She was amazing while I was gone for a while week.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
