My true passion however is caring for animals. Don't tell the dog people but cats are definitely my favorite!! I currently have one cat, his name is Widdle. He is a Turkish Angora. We rescued him from a shelter in Escondido... Hi my name is Ashley, I am the biggest cat lover you will ever meet. My professional background has been in emergency medicine for humans but I am also trained in CPR and first aid for dogs and cats. I am able to administer all types of medications, including injections if needed.
My true passion however is caring for animals. Don't tell the dog people but cats are definitely my favorite!! I currently have one cat, his name is Widdle. He is a Turkish Angora. We rescued him from a shelter in Escondido. He is the love of my life and my entire world! We love to snuggle all the time as well as play outside in the backyard. He loves to lounge in the grass and play with the butterflies and lizards 😀
Pet sitting is now my full time job so I am available anytime. My goal is to make sure your cat is taking care of both physically and emotionally. I understand how hard it can be to leave your babies at home when you go anywhere and I want you to know they are in the best of hands! I also love to send lots of pictures to keep you updated, I know that made me feel so much better the first time I used a sitter.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have many years of cat sitting experience. I have been doing it off and on since I was 15. It's my absolute favorite!
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Spending time and just playing with cats. I also love to brush them because it can be a great bonding experience.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
I love getting to meet new cats and learning their individual personalities. My favorite cats are of course the ones that love to snuggle. I still love shy cats too and it's an honor to earn their trust.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
My cat's name is Widdle, he is a Turkish Angora. He is such a sweet snuggle bug!!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
My best advice is go with your gut. Look for the true animal lovers and you can't go wrong.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Always make sure to be careful when opening and closing doors, I know some cats love to explore the outdoors even when they aren't supposed to be out. You always have to be on alert.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am available pretty much every holiday.
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite cat toy is probably a feather on a string. It's great for engagement and exercise.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I think it's best to get on their level (physically). As well as give them space and time to feel comfortable with you and your smell. Another tip is try giving a few slow blinks to show the cat you feel safe.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving
- December 22-28: Christmas
- December 29-31: New Year's 2027

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Temecula cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $32.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
