Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have two rescue cats named Cornelius and Leonitus, though they usually go by Corn and Leo (sometimes Fleef). Living with them has taught me a lot about how unique every catā€™s personality can be. Corn is a smart, very vocal tuxedo with a goofy personality. He loves doing parkour around the house, needs lots of stimulation and attention, and his favorite thing is being held like a baby. Leo is a beautiful, aloof floof who values her peace. She enjoys affection on her own terms and Iā€™ve learned to respect her boundaries, but if you turn on the sink youā€™ll instantly win her heart.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

I would recommend looking for someone who understands that every cat has a unique personality and comfort level. A good cat sitter should be patient, attentive to body language, and willing to follow your catā€™s routine closely so things feel familiar while youā€™re away. Itā€™s also important to find someone who communicates clearly and sends updates so you feel at ease while traveling. Trust and reliability are just as important as experience, so choosing someone who genuinely loves cats and respects their boundaries makes all the difference.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

When working with a new cat parent, I like to start by learning as much as I can about their catā€™s routine, personality, and any special needs. I ask about feeding schedules, favorite toys, litter preferences, and whether they require medication or have any sensitivities. During visits I make sure food, water, and litter are fresh and clean, and I spend time engaging with the cat in a way that feels comfortable for them whether thatā€™s playing, brushing, or simply keeping them company. I also keep an eye out for any changes in appetite, litter habits, or behavior and communicate those right away. My goal is always to keep your catā€™s routine consistent and make them feel safe and cared for in their own home. I also send regular updates and photos/videos so you can see how your cat is doing while youā€™re away.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
