Whether your cat is shy and needs space or playful and craves attention, I’ll adjust to their personality and routine to make them feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away... 😺 My name is Janet, and I am a proud cat mom of three and a former nanny/babysitter with over 10 years of professional caregiving experience. I know firsthand how important it is to find someone you trust with your furry family members, and I take that responsibility very seriously.
As a cat sitter, I bring patience, intuition, and a calm, attentive presence. Whether your cat is shy and needs space or playful and craves attention, I’ll adjust to their personality and routine to make them feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I’m experienced with administering medications, caring for multiple cats, and tuning into the little things.
Each visit includes fresh food and water, litter box maintenance, playtime or cuddles (on their terms, of course!), and an update with photos so you know your kitty is in good hands. I treat every cat as if they were my own.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love meeting new kitties and learning their unique personalities and quirks while also making sure they feel safe and loved especially when they may be missing you.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have three kitties! Pepper is my oldest and she is 5. She’s a gray tabby who is a little spicy and loves making biscuits on her special blanket. Lenny is 4 and he’s a brown tabby who loves cuddles and is very active, he always picks on his little sister. Chernobyl just turned 2 and she is a polydactyl long haired calico cat who is very vocal and scared of everything. All of my cats are larger breeds ranging between 11lbs-13lbs.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am typically available during holidays. Holidays are usually busy with travel and I’m more than happy to provide dependable loving care when needed the most.

She’s incredibly attentive, thoughtful, and you can tell she truly cares about the animals she looks after. She took amazing care of Leo and kept us updated with pictures, videos, and detailed messages every visit. She played with him, cuddled him, cleaned his litter box, refreshed his water, vacuumed, and made sure he felt happy, entertained, and comfortable. I’m so grateful for her care and the peace of mind she gave us while we were away. We would absolutely book Janet again — she’s wonderful and highly recommended!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Visalia cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
