What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

16+ years. While working in multiple animal shelters, I would also foster 'shelter cats and kittens' that were underage or ill, nursing them back to wellness.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have a 15 year old tuxedo cat named Missy. She has been with me through multiple relationships, several moves to different states, sharing her home with foster cats and dogs and is the most unique, resilient and relaxed kitty. She is spoiled by my fiancée and always taken care of when I'm at sits.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Trust your gut when it comes to hiring someone to care for your beloved cat! If it doesn't feel right, that doesn't mean the sitter is a bad person, it just means that it's not a good fit for you, and that is okay. You should feel comfortable and confident in the sitter you hire, because that will give you peace while you are away, and that is what every sitter wants to provide for you!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I give timid or anxious cats time and space. I keep the environment calm and soothing, and use a very soft and slow voice. I sit still to allow the cats to feel that they have the upper hand and can come up to explore me if they feel comfortable enough to do so. I will leave treats or their favorite toy nearby to entice them to come near. I will not force them into a corner or reach for them under a bed if they are not yet comfortable to come out. I want them to feel that they do have a safe space while a stranger (at first) is in their home.

Hannah was fantastic. We did a met and greet before our trip and from the beginning Bella (our cat) was excited to spend time with her. Hannah was easy to talk to and has a lot of pet experience. We went over food/water/litter/house instructions and i left a written copy at our house. She sent daily photos and we texted daily as well just to confirm everything was going smoothly. I will definately have her cat sit again.

Hannah is an angel on Earth, I cannot recommend her enough! She is very quick to respond, and is so kind. Hannah was so good with my cat, Wyatt. She administered his medication every morning and night with ease. She let me know whenever she arrived and kept me always updated. I will always be asking Hannah first to take care of Wyatt if I ever go on vacation again. She truly is the best!!

Hannah was FANTASTIC! She kept us well updated and sent the cutest pictures. On top of that, she went above and beyond when she discovered ants were getting at the food in the automatic feeders we had set up. She communicated super clearly and quickly with us, and even innovated a solution to keep the ants away from the feeders without us asking. Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
