Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have a tortie cat myself, her name is mama polly, and she is a polydactyl! it makes her an amazing hunter. she has an incredible story, as she was a stray/rescue from skid row. she was found emaciated with an entire litter she had before the age of one. she was on a euthanization list before she was rescued by a woman working at petsmart. (my poor baby) but when she met me and my partner, her new mommies, she knew we would love her forerver. she is the most, cuddliest, sweetest, sleepiest cat, she also talks a lot! she even gives kisses and makes so many biscuits. she’s two years old now and living her best life. her kids were all adopted, she had about 8 children, all tortie girls, with two black cat boys! she’s a warrior.
What is your favorite cat toy?
toy mouse! an electric one that runs around. my mama polly loves it. sometimes she just stares at it, but she loves it.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I will always respect a cats boundaries when they are showing timid or anxious body language and or meowing. it is always good to give them a break, space, and then try again from a different space or distance. it is good to NOT cut off their hiding places so that they may feel safe. ( for example under the bed, in a open closet, or their cat house/tree. ) Also, TREATS! that is always a good way to build trust slowly with a cat, and to let them smell me first! cats sense and feel energy. it is important for me to stay calm and have a safe heartbeat with your kitty cat! 💜

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Walnut Creek cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $38.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
