Hi! I’m Erin, and I'm a lifelong animal lover who shares my home with a small menagerie of pets, cats and dogs included.

I specialize in cat sitting and tailor my care to each cat’s personality and routine, whether they’re playful, shy, or somewhere in between. I’m comfortable caring for senior cats and those with special needs, including medication schedules and extra attention when needed. I provide reliable visits, respect your home, and send regular updates with photos so you can feel at ease while you’re away.

I am happy to answer any questions, and look forward to meeting you and your kitties!

Learn More About Erin

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have three years of experience cat sitting through Meowtel, in addition to caring for cats in my personal life. I provide in-home visits focused on maintaining each cat’s routine, comfort, and safety. I have experience working with a wide range of cats, including seniors and those with special needs, and I’m comfortable administering medications and following detailed care instructions. I take pride in being reliable, detail-oriented, and communicative, and I always aim to provide consistent, attentive care tailored to each individual cat

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

What I enjoy most about cat sitting is getting to know each cat’s unique personality and earning their trust over time. Some cats are outgoing, some are shy, and I like being able to meet them where they’re at—whether that’s playtime, quiet company, or just making sure their routine stays consistent while their person is away. I also really enjoy the little moments, like a cat warming up to me or showing their quirks once they feel comfortable. It’s rewarding to provide dependable care and give owners peace of mind through regular updates and photos

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have three cats, a one eyed void named Elaine (after Elaine Benes), and orange tabby brothers, Ralph and Moe, born on Halloween of 2025. We also have a three year old pit bull/heeler mix named Charlie, who also thinks he's a cat.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

My advice is to look for a sitter who communicates clearly, is reliable, and takes the time to understand your cat’s individual needs and routine. It’s important that your sitter asks detailed questions about feeding schedules, litter box care, behavior, and any medical needs, and is comfortable following instructions closely. I also recommend choosing someone who provides regular updates with photos or notes so you can feel connected while you’re away. Most importantly, find a sitter who is patient and attentive, especially if you have a shy cat or one with special needs.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

My typical process starts with an initial conversation where I learn about your cat(s), their routine, and any special care needs. Before the first visit, I like to schedule a meet and greet to get acquainted, review care instructions, and make sure everyone feels comfortable. During this visit, we’ll go over feeding, litter box care, medications if needed, home access, and any preferences you have. Once care begins, I follow your instructions closely and maintain your cat’s routine as consistently as possible. I provide regular updates with photos and notes after each visit so you can stay informed and at ease while you’re away. My goal is to make the entire process smooth, reliable, and stress-free for both you and your cat.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I take the safety and security of my clients’ homes very seriously. I follow all provided instructions carefully regarding key handling, alarm systems, locks, and entry/exit procedures. I keep access information secure and never share it. During visits, I make sure doors and windows are properly secured before leaving, and I double-check that everything is left as it was found. I’m respectful of each home, maintain a low profile while in the property, and handle everything with care. I also keep clear communication with clients and notify them promptly if anything unexpected arises. My goal is to provide reliable care while giving you confidence that your home and pets are in good hands.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Am available most holidays. My calendar is updated regularly to reflect any travel of my own that I might have, but I don't typically leave town for holidays and generally am around and happy to help.

What is your favorite cat toy?

My favorite cat toys are crinkle toys! I love seeing how much cats enjoy the sound and texture—they tend to spark curiosity and playful energy. They’re simple, but they’re great for engaging cats of different personalities, whether it’s batting, chasing, or just investigating. It’s always fun to find the little things that bring out a cat’s playful side.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

When caring for anxious cats, I prioritize patience, consistency, and respecting their comfort level. I avoid forcing interaction and instead allow the cat to approach me on their own terms. I keep routines as consistent as possible, since predictability helps reduce stress, and I follow any guidance provided by the owner about the cat’s preferences, triggers, or calming strategies. I move slowly, use a calm voice, and give anxious cats space while still ensuring their basic needs are met, including food, water, litter, and any medications. Over time, many cats become more comfortable with gentle, low-pressure interaction. My goal is always to create a calm environment where the cat feels safe and secure in their own home.

This month

Erin took wonderful care of my cat Tennyson while I was away, and I’m extremely grateful for how professional, thoughtful, and dependable she was throughout the entire stay. She sent regular updates and photos, spent quality time with him playing and relaxing outside on the deck, and it was obvious from every interaction that Tennyson felt comfortable and happy and well loved with her. She was also incredibly helpful managing things around the house while I was traveling internationally — bringing in multiple packages, checking the front door, and making sure everything stayed in great shape while I was gone. Communication was always prompt and kind, which made being far away much less stressful. When I returned home, Tennyson was relaxed, affectionate, and clearly very well cared for. Erin is caring, trustworthy, attentive, and genuinely great with animals. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for excellent pet care.

Erin was an amazing sitter. She took time to care for our cats and even went above and beyond by offering to bring in our mail. I was very impressed with her level of communication with pictures. We will definitely use her again in the future for any trips!

Erin did a good job keeping the litterbox clean, playing with our cats and cleaning up a small mess for us. Unfortunately our first morning visit she did not arrive until after 12pm, which did not leave the best first impression. During our meet and greet we showed her the canned food we use for one of our cats, and showed her that the other cat eats a frozen thawed diet. We reviewed where it was stored and how much to feed them. She ended up feeding both cats the canned food during the entire reservation, so now we have a cat with a very upset tummy 😔

Erin was fantastic. She sent me photos every day & some how was able to get my shy little girl to come out of hiding. I have her booked for Thanksgiving & will leave home with total confidence that all will go well, as it did the first time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!
