I’m an artist and lover of cats! Before I moved to Colorado, I lived with and took care of my sister’s cat Mochi for several years (the sweetest Tabby boy in the world). I would also help watch the cats of my neighbors, friends, and family throughout my undergrad summers.
I think cats are just the greatest! I love to visit cat cafes, I’ve volunteered at shelters before, and I always have a churu in my purse if I encounter a friendly neighborhood cat... Hello, I’m Leila!

I believe cats deserve the upmost respect, care, and attention. That means going at their pace, respecting their preferences, and trying my best. That also means I will follow your guidance, ask questions, and communicate in a timely manner (with pictures) too! Beyond the basics, I’ll go the extra mile as well! If you want me to deep clean a litter box or watch bird TV with your cats, I’ll do it!
Currently, I live in Boulder, CO and work a full time 9-5, but I would be more than happy to help in the early mornings and evenings. I look forward to meeting you and your fur family!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been a cat sitter for the entirety of my undergraduate education (4 years). Most of the cats I helped were regularly healthy, only some needed medications within their food.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Getting to know the cat and winning their trust is the best feeling! I also enjoy seeing the dynamic between the cat and their owner, it’s nice to see different perspectives and approaches when it comes to cat care.
What is your favorite cat toy?
A shoestring! It’s rare that I encounter cats who don’t want to chase them down. It can be a great form of exercise for everyone involved.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Boulder cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
