I always give cats space to approach me first. I'll sit on the floor read a b... I'm an engineer that's currently between jobs, but I love cats! I've been around them my whole life, from spicy ex-toms with chubby cheeks to shy young kittens. I have experience giving insulin shots and ear drops as well.
I always give cats space to approach me first. I'll sit on the floor read a book quietly until your kitty is ready to say hi, if that's what you'd prefer! I have plenty of books, and I have gone to the Cat Society to quietly read to timid cats before to desensitize them to being around people. Trust and agency are the most important things to build a relationship with a cat.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I really look forward to gaining a cat's trust and getting them out of their shell. If it doesn't happen, that's okay-- but it makes me smile when their personality comes out!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have a nine year old orange tabby named Charlie right now, and he has many opinions. I harness trained him while he was young, but I trust him enough to carry him around in my backyard so he can smell some trees and leaves!
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I will check windows and doors and discuss security measures before the date. I love when catios are available too, and it's important to know it's secure since we have predators out in Colorado.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am a homebody so I will be at home in Broomfield 90% of the time, whenever I'm not at the gym or library. In short, yes!
What is your favorite cat toy?
I love a good wand with a rattler-- my cat will chase it (and me) around the house and up and down stairs! Laser pointers and a good old fashioned cardboard box are also fun.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Patience and gentle persistence are key. I can sit and quietly read a book for a while with them in the room with me and ignore them completely if that helps them feel more comfortable.

Brandi was absolutely wonderful and I cannot recommend her enough! I have a shy cat who needs to be given oral medication every night, and Brandi medicated her and clearly remained friends Brandi was very communicative and when I had to make a few last minute requests for my fussy cat, Brandi was totally on top of it! 10/10 shes our new regular sitter

Brandi is awesome! She is super easy to communicate with. Did all the litter boxes and multiple types of food for our old girl. She might also be a cat whisperer. Lucy doesn't usually take to people right away but she was already snuggling up to Brandi the first time they met. We came back to a very happy kitty despite being gone on a longer trip. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Broomfield cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
