What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve been caring for cats for several years through helping friends, family, and neighbors when they travel. During that time I’ve handled feeding schedules, litter box cleaning, playtime, and giving lots of attention to make sure cats feel comfortable in their own environment. I’ve also cared for shy cats and senior cats who need a little extra patience. I enjoy making sure every cat feels safe, relaxed, and well cared for while their owners are away.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
What I enjoy most about cat sitting is getting to know each cat’s unique personality. Some are playful and energetic while others are quiet and independent, and I love building trust with them at their own pace. It’s very rewarding when a shy cat warms up and starts to feel comfortable. I also enjoy giving owners peace of mind by sending updates and photos so they know their cat is happy and safe.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
When caring for timid or anxious cats, I always move at their pace and give them space to feel safe. I keep my movements calm and quiet, follow their routine closely, and allow them to approach me when they’re ready. I’ve found that patience and consistency help build trust quickly. Even if a cat prefers distance, I make sure they’re comfortable, well-fed, and that their environment stays calm and secure.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Denver cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
