Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes! I have a cat named Monty. He’s a medium-haired Norwegian Forest cat and my little shadow. He loves hanging out with me on the patio while I read, just soaking up the breeze and watching the world go by. Inside, he’s all about chasing his toy mice around the house, especially on the carpet. He prefers it so he doesn’t slide around mid-zoomie! He’s playful, a little sassy, and such a sweet companion.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
I’d say, look for a cat sitter who truly understands that every cat is different. Someone patient, attentive, and respectful of your cat’s personality, whether they’re shy, social, playful, or need extra care. Make sure they’re comfortable with your cat’s routine, any medications, and know what signs to look for if something seems off. A great sitter will also keep you updated with messages or photos so you can relax while you’re away.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
When working with a new cat parent, I like to schedule a meet-and-greet before the reservation. It gives me a chance to learn your cat’s routine, environment, and any specific needs or quirks. I’ll also introduce myself to your cat gently, letting them sniff me and adjust at their own pace. During this visit, I ask questions about feeding, litter habits, playtime, meds (if needed), and your communication preferences. My goal is to make sure your cat feels safe and cared for, and that you feel completely confident while you’re away.

Allie was prompt and great with communication! My cat needs medication and she did great with administering per my directions and ensuring me that she received her meds. She also refreshed the water bowl and cleaned the litter box daily. I would book Allie again!

Allie was fantastic. Before I left, she came over for a meet & greet and took notes on Camille’s routine. She was a great communicator, sent pics of Camille every day, and left everything clean and tidy. She also did great giving Camille her daily meds (which I know could be stressful). Would absolutely have her watch Camille again.

Allie did great with my grumpy old lady cat. I was worried about leaving my kitty was someone unfamiliar because she has to have transdermal medication twice a day for her hyperthyroidism. But as far as I know Holly got her medicine with no issues. Allie also too great care of our plants and garden while we were away.

Her updates were detailed and made me feel secure that my cat was doing well while I was away. Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Denver cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Allie’s one of those rare people you can trust without hesitation. She’s reliable, sharp, and genuinely gets animals especially cats. My cat isn’t the easiest (a little too smart for his own good), but Allie handled everything like it was second nature. She didn’t just feed him and check the boxes she noticed his moods, kept me updated with no overkill, and made sure his routines stayed intact. It’s clear she cares, and that kind of attention and consistency is hard to come by. I’d recommend her to anyone who wants peace of mind and knows their pet deserves more than just someone “stopping by.”

Having taken care of cats her whole life, Allie is a wonderful cat mom who makes sure that her cat (and others) are taken care of to the fullest extent. She is gentle and loving to all animals and is very responsible with administering medications (when needed), keeping their bathroom area clean and tidy and making sure they are well fed and happy.
