What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’m new to professional cat sitting (2025)but not new to being with cats. We’ve had at least one cat in our house since 2004 and I can’t imagine not having a cat or two in the house.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

We’ve got one orange tabby - he’s about 16 years old and - who at last count - has close to 10 nicknames.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

We’ve always gone with our gut and really have never gone wrong. Ask questions you may be afraid to ask. If I can’t or won’t answer, it may not be a good fit for either of us.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

Seek to understand. I’m curious to learn what you’re looking for and what I’m a visit and how I can support you and your cat(s).

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

One key thing is to be observant before I leave/open any doors that there aren’t any cats inside that coils potentially escape outside.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes. To me, traveling around the holidays isn’t fun so I’m usually around. Let me help you have peace of mind do you can enjoy the holiday.

What is your favorite cat toy?

My favorite toy or my cat’s favorite? His is any small piece of paper or small things he can bat around. And anything with catnip is well loved.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Let them come to you. Sit in a neutral spot and allow them to come out to you, sniff you and make contact with you. Having treats nearby often helps to make a new friend.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
