What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have a long history of cat sitting, both with Meowtel and for friends and family. I know how hard it can be when you're away from your feline friend, so my goal is to make that time as easy as possible for you and kitty!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I love all cats! I love figuring out what kind of attention, toys and habits they enjoy and I do what I can to earn their affection. And I think it's fun to try and snap cute, purrfessional-like photos of your feline friend for you to enjoy while you're away!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I currently have one cat- Banjo. He's a tuxedo cat who loves treats, surveying his domain from high in his cat tower, sometimes being a lap cat, and begging for food- all of which he thinks (hopes) is cheese.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I will make sure to get a clear understanding of your wants and needs, answer any questions you might have, and schedule an in-person meet and greet to meet you and your kitties, and familiarize myself with your home. I'll take personalized notes on everything you'd like me to do, and while you're away I'll send daily updates (with photos!) of your favorite felines and my efforts.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

If given a physical key, I attach it to my personal key ring. I double check all doors are locked before leaving your home. Per your preference, I will make sure any lights are left on/off and can open/close any blinds of your choosing. I am extra careful when entering and exiting your home to make sure the cats stay inside. And even if your cat tries to convince me otherwise, no kitties are allowed outside while you're away.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Just like my work as a therapist with people, no two cats are the same and I will meet your cat(s) where they're at. So if you have an anxious kitty, I'll adhere to any preferences you have for them, and I will respect their space and create a calm, quiet environment for them to be curious about me if desired. I'll make sure all their needs are met, and then sit on the couch or on the floor for the rest of the visit so they have company.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
