At home, I have two feline friends, Milhouse (age 4) and Torchy (age 7). I adopted both of them as kittens and it has been amazing watching their personalities evolve. Torchy is your classic tabby who loves a good, quiet perch to watch the world go by. Milhouse has minor Cerebellar Hypoplasia, a condition that affects motor skills... Welcome to my Meowtel page! My name is Leah and I have been a cat lover since birth.

His wobbles have never slowed him down and his zest for life is inspirational!
I adore cats of all shapes, sizes, and personalities. Each cat is so unique and I love getting to engage with them. I spent the majority of my high school career volunteering with cats at the local animal shelter - I find their body language and ways of communicating so fascinating and impressive in their depth.
I have experience administering topical and oral medications, as well as ear/eye drops. I am located in Fort Collins and can service the northern Colorado area.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
My favorite part of cat sitting is getting to meet new people and their pets! It is an honor that someone would place their trust in me. I find sitting so rewarding, especially when I am able to provide care and comfort when their owners are away. As a cat owner myself, I understand how strange it can be for them and how far some company can go.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
I would advise a potential customer to find a sitter who understands cat behavior. It's important to know signs of happiness, anxiety, or illness. I also think a meet and greet is a great way to evaluate a potential sitter! That way, you can observe how they approach your furry friend(s) and establish a face to face relationship.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I always respect a cat's boundaries and meet them on their terms, even if they take a long time to initiate interactions with me. I find sitting on the floor and letting the cat observe me from a distance are a great way to reduce anxiety. A calm environment goes a long way - I keep a soft voice and avoid sudden movements. Advice from the owner is always respected, especially insights into their cat's behavior.

Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

- February 13-19: Presidents Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Fort Collins cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
