I have had cats in my life for as long as I can remember, and I also occasionally foster through three local cat foster networks, which means I’m comfortable with every stage of feline care. From tiny kittens who need play and patience to shy or senior cats who require a gentle touch, I adapt to each cat’s personality. My skills include administering medications, reading body language, and maintaining consistent feeding and litter routines. I’m known for being patient, detail oriented, and playful in the right moments. You can expect thoughtful care, clear updates with photos, and a sitter who respects boundaries while building trust. My goal is to make your time away truly worry free.

Learn More About Sarah

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve been caring for cats my entire life, starting with my own family pets and eventually expanding to pet sitting for friends, neighbors, and coworkers. Over the years I’ve looked after cats with a wide range of personalities and needs, including shy rescues, playful kittens, and seniors who needed daily medication. I also occasionally foster through three local cat foster networks, which has given me even more hands-on experience with kittens, multi-cat households, and cats adjusting to new environments. Altogether, I bring two decades of personal ownership combined with 15 years of trusted cat sitting and foster support.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have two kitties myself, Chloe and Bonnie, one precocious outgoing and picky kitty and one very shy and particular kitty. My younger brother has also adopted two of my fosters, Nike and Nala, my parents have two kitties, Molly and Luna, and my older brother has two kitties, Nova and Nyx. Loving kitties became a family affair.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

If a friend asked me for advice on hiring a cat sitter, I’d tell them to look for someone who respects cats as individuals and doesn’t force interactions, but still finds ways to be engaged and attentive. A good sitter should ask about routines, food, litter, health needs, and quirks right away. I’d suggest checking whether they’re comfortable giving medication if needed, and making sure they send regular updates with photos so you know your cat is safe and happy. Most importantly, you want someone patient and consistent, who will keep your cat’s environment calm and familiar while you’re away.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Fort Collins cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!
