To tell you how pet care came to be my gig, I stumbled upon these care apps the same way many of us do: when needing care for my kitty, Brooks. Still fresh to Denver, I desperately needed a trustworthy person I could trust with my beloved cat, and I found a highly reviewed sitter online... My name is Heather, and I’m lucky enough to work as a pet and home sitter. Based in Keenesburg, I’m a full-time caretaker serving the Eastern Plains and the surrounding metro areas.
To tell you how pet care came to be my gig, I stumbled upon these care apps the same way many of us do: when needing care for my kitty, Brooks. Still fresh to Denver, I desperately needed a trustworthy person I could trust with my beloved cat, and I found a highly reviewed sitter online. The experience was so good that I decided to post my services, and over two years later, I'm now lucky enough to do this as my business.
As a cat mom myself, I understand that it takes a little extra special love and attention when it comes to caring for our kitties. I have experience with cats of all social backgrounds and am comfortable providing any level of care your cat needs, medication administration included. I genuinely love our feline friends and enjoy spending time gaining their trust and getting to know them.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve been caring for cats my entire life, and have been providing professional care for over almost 3 years. I grew up with cats and spent my high school years volunteering at an all-cat humane society. Now I am the proud owner of a tabby cat named Brooks, and I love using apps like Meowtel to connect with other cat lovers who need a reliable sitter that understands our feline friends.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I enjoy not feeling like I’m going to work, and obviously getting to hang out with cool cats every day! It’s a fun job that is rewarding on many levels. I’m lucky to have built a business that I truly love.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I make myself available to answer any questions new clients have, and I will offer meet-and-greets to see if we’re a good fit for each other. From there, I like to get to know my clients, both feline and human, and ask questions to prepare for the upcoming reservation. Important details include feeding and water instructions, medications, litter box management, and other relevant information. While the reservation is ongoing I am sure to provide lots of updates and photos and I stay in communication with the owners as much, or as little, as they prefer.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes! This is my full-time business, and I enjoy spending the holiday time providing care and being available for my clients.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I like to let kitties determine how much attention they want to receive during our visits. Let me know if there are any toys or treats they enjoy, and I’ll incorporate those into the routine as well. Most importantly, I provide companionship while respecting their space and boundaries.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Keenesburg cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $51.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Heather went above and beyond with drop-in visits while we were away. One of my cats is a shy guy, and we've had past caretakers ignore him completely. Heather was able to build enough trust with my guy that she could provide photos and updates every day. TL;DR - Heather is amazing! No need to shop around, hire her! Heather has done an amazing job with our cats yet again. She’s attentive to their needs and takes care of all the essentials (food, litter, water). She communicates often and send lots of good pictures of the cats.
