I am a life long cat lover and have had a cat since I was very young! Currently we have 3 fur babies, Salem a void, MooShu a large grey tabby and Cheddar an orange terror 😍. I treat cats like children, I let them set the pace for our relationship and allow them to become comfortable with me through play, treats, smell and pets. I have lived in Connecticut since 1992 and had the same vet since I moved. We have a strong relationship and he has taught me a lo... I treat cats like children, I let them set the pace for our relationship and allow them to become comfortable with me through play, treats, smell and pets. I have lived in Connecticut since 1992 and had the same vet since I moved. We have a strong relationship and he has taught me a lot about cats. We worked together to help then senior cat deal with her diabetes diagnosis, designing a meal plan and insulin plan that helped her live 6 years with the condition to the age of 17. I’m experienced with cats from kitten to senior and even super senior with our oldest being my daughters late cat (she asked for him instead of a sibling at 4) to 18 1/2 when he passed. I promise I will treat your cats like my own and take excellent care of them!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I enjoy cat sitting and I’ve been doing it with Meowtel for over a year and independently for many years.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Meeting new cats and putting cat parents at easy that while away their babies are safe and sound at home.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Currently we have 3 boys! Salem is a quiet and timid void who we got as a 6 week old kitten. MooShu is a large grey tabby who we got at 8 weeks and is outgoing with a personality as big as he is. Cheddar we got at 5 months old and he is an orange tabby who is still looking for his single brain cell. They are all rescues who needed a good home- and boy did they get that!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

I like to interview the new sitter and see how they interact with the cats as well as me. Our cats love their cat sitters, they come to them and ask to play or for some scratches even when I am home. To me if the cat likes the sitter it is a big bonus and I don’t worry as much when we are away.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I like to meet them first, and the kitties. Discuss expectations and confirm all of the cats preferences and requirements. Putting the cat parent at ease is very important since I’m responsible for their fur babies.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I make sure the cats don’t get out. All doors and windows are secure. I bring in all packages and mail so that it appears there is daily activity at the house.

Are you usually available during holidays?

My family and I do not travel during holidays so I am always around and happy to take on sitting jobs during the holidays.

What is your favorite cat toy?

I love to try and teach young cats to play fetch. Other than that, a wand or spring toy is always a good option.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Give them time, space and patience. If they don’t want me to touch them or even see them that’s okay. I give them space, patience and understanding.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
