I have always loved animals. When my husband and I moved into our first home, there was a feral cat community out back. We began feeding them and taking the kittens in when they got big enough, getting them vetted, and adopting them out. We partnered with a neighbor who began trap/spaying/releasing the adults. When we moved into our forever home, I worked tirelessly to trap the last female to ensure the colony wouldn't grow any further. A couple neighbors agreed to feed them once we were gone. That was 22 years ago. We missed this work and so a few years ago, we contacted a local shelter and began fostering cats and kittens again... I have always loved animals. Many adopters have told me that the kittens from my care are the best they have ever had. We have also had two CH Kitties. One, Madeline, lived to 15 years and had an amazing life. We now have Jingle who can't walk on his own, but he and I have worked together to build him a spoiled and independent life. We have 9 cats now, all of whom would have been really hard to find homes for. Most have medical conditions and a couple are semi-feral. Any cat like that who deserved extra love just stayed. We didn’t want them to get passed over and end up living their whole lives in a shelter. I work from home which allows me to give of myself to the work of fostering. The shelter I was fostering for is winding down and so a couple years ago I shifted to pet sitting. I love providing my clients with the comfort that their kitties are in loving and knowledgeable hands while they are away. Plenty of references available.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been cat sitting for the last two years. Aside from that experience, I have had cats my whole life and have fostered more than 250 cats and kittens. To say I love to care for cats is an understatement.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I love meeting new cats and providing their parents with piece of mind that they are well loved on and cared for while they are away. I enjoy spending time with the kitties and making sure that they get time and attention in the ways that they want. That could be playing, cuddles, etc. and of course food, water, and ensuring clean litter boxes.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Yes! We have 9 cats. Their names are: Falcon Crookshanks Spike Antonio Guiseppe Pebbles Leo Jingle Jangle Biscuit They all started as fosters in our home as kittens and would have been “unadoptable” (I hate that word) or tough adopts for lots of reasons. We believe that they all deserve love and patience and so whenever a kitten came in that was either really struggling to socialize from being feral, with a medical condition, or a disability, we loved on them and welcomed them to their furever home!

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
