I live in Glastonbury, CT and work full time as a member of an Animal Conservation and Sanctuary Start Up! During any free time I like to read or walk. For the time being I have devoted myself to helping out by cat sitting and making sure kitties are healthy and happy! I am available to cat-sit during the day, evenings, and weekends. my schedule is flexible so I am happy to discuss your needs! I am very mindful of COVID safety procedures and am fully vaccinated, double boosted. I have a car so I don’t mind going to nearby towns (Manchester, Wethersfield, Hartford, etc.) and neighborhoods if anyone is interested in having a cat sitter! I believe plants also deserve attention and taking care so please don’t hesitate if you’d like me to look after them as well :)

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
By always checking in with the cats first if they’d like to be approached, as well as doing a thorough run down with their parents how they’d like to be treated. I also treat any home as I would my own, with responsibility, care, and respect. This means checking in on how parents would like me to provide the home’s upkeep while they are gone.

Deeksha was WONDERFUL! She followed every instruction I gave her and went above and beyond for our sweet Willow. This was the first time my husband and I left Willow her for an extended period of time and we were a bit nervous to do so. However, as soon as we met with Deeksha, our worries went away! She showed up on time every day and always made sure to leave us with the longest update letting us know how everything went - in addition to many photos which I always appreciate 😹. We absolutely plan to rebook Deeksha for any upcoming travels!

Deeksha is absolutely amazing! She took care of my kitty so well and sent great updates that i appreciated so much! She also went above and beyond when she found that my cat had been in an under the sink cabinet to make sure that she hadn't eaten anything by checking to see if anything had holes in it! I did have a bit of a rough start on day 1 over a miscommunication regarding timing of the visitation but even though it was a holiday weekend Meowtel was extremely helpful in getting the situation resolved. Overall Deeksha did exactly what I requested which was visit my cat 1X a day and refilled his food. That being said, I do wish the timing of the visits were more consistent as one day the visit was in the morning and the next day it was after 5pm. However, this is something I now know for the future and overall I really did prefer this service rather than boarding my cat.

Deeksha did an awesome job with our kitties! She followed all our instructions to a T and even did some cleaning so we returned home to a clean house! Our cats were happy and relaxed when we got home, so they definitely loved her too!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Glastonbury cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $27.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
