I know that I look for exceptional cat-sitting when I’m away, and I work hard to provide the same for my clients. I work Monday to Friday from 8:00AM to 4:30PM with a lunch break. I have a job where I can often flex my time, so if I have advance notice I may be able to adjust my schedule.
Meet My Cats:
Odie is 11, a former feral turned lap cat, who’s personality has blossomed since coming inside. I really have a soft spot for shy and aloof cats.
Koda is 4, and is my puppy-cat. He loves hide and seek, snuggling with his siblings, and watching the groundhogs out the window.
Birdie just turned 1, and is the princess of the house. She loves her family, both human and animal, and is great at communicating what toy she wants you to grab so you will play with her. She is obsessed with sitting on paper bags, and she reason I have recycling strewn around my living room. Cat people will understand. 😉

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been cat sitting for friends, family, and colleagues for 10 years. I’m the go to “cat lady” in my social circles. Professionally, I’ve been cat sitting since November 2023. I’ve watched cats from 3 months old to 18 years old.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
Pet sitting a sweetheart named Reese! She had been recently rescued from a horrible situation — locked in a dark boiler room with nothing but her food for 3 years after her old owner decided she didn’t want her anymore. Her new home and family are amazing. She was so affectionate and loving. You could tell she was grateful for her new lease on life. It was wonderful getting to pamper that kitty for a weekend the way she (and every cat) deserves.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have 3 cats that I love dearly. Odie, an 11 year old former feral, Koda, a 4 year old lover of chaos, and Birdie, my 1 year old princess.
What is your favorite cat toy?
One of my cats has a chirping hummingbird toy that he “hunts” and regularly brings to me as a gift. I find it very sweet that he always thinks to “feed” me so it’s long been a favorite of mine.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
One of my cats is a former feral that took years to become a lap cat so I’m a patient person. Timid and anxious cats have a special place in my heart. I get to know a cat at their pace. While I will always check on that cat’s wellbeing and make sure they’re okay, I will not invade their space if they don’t want me to. I’m happy to interact with them from a distance in a soft calm voice and offer them “slow-blinks” to show them them I’m relaxed and unthreatening. If they warm up to me, awesome! But if they’d rather keep their distance, I won’t be offended. This is their home, not mine.

I have true peace of mind when Samantha is looking after my kitties. She is very organized, thoughtful, communicative, and most of all my three cats adore her! Even my sassy girl warmed up to her, which says something. I have an elderly, diabetic cat with food allergies and Sam was at the house at 7 am sharp each day to prepare his food and medication. My three cats have a complex daily schedule and Sam followed all directions exactly and asked clarifying questions if she was ever unsure of something. Each day she messaged me when she got to the house, when she left, and pictures of all three kitties! It gave me great peace of mind to know my babies were being well cared for while we were away.

Samantha is a cat person through and through, when she arrived for the initial meet-and-greet, she immediately recognized my male cate as a flame point. That's the sort of information only a true cat-lover would know! Also, Samantha is highly professional and organized, traits that I value in someone taking care of my beloved babies. While I was away, both my kitties asked her for pets, that's unusual as they're both shy with strangers, but they seemed to have bonded with Samantha right away. We’ve had kitty sitters in the past, but Samantha shines above the rest. Her love of animals is immediately apparent. During our meet-and-greet, both of our kitties jumped into her lap, and one even started giving her kisses right away. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Manchester cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Goodness! All around. Though I'm honestly a little reluctant to share my positive feedback because I worry Samantha will become too busy/popular! She takes *extraordinary" candid photos. She lets you know when she is arriving and leaving (usually). She shares a note about details of her time there. Just extraordinary! And when I returned home after a full week away, both cats were very chill... a sign of how good their care had been.

My kitties are not shy, nor do they take medication, otherwise I would have given Sam every single badge. She was an incredible caregiver to my kitties.
