I also really enjoy being able to keep their routine consistent while their owners are away, whether that’s feeding schedules, playtime, or just spending quiet time with them so they don’t feel alone. There’s something really rewarding about seeing a cat start to relax around you, especially if they were shy at first. On a more practical level, I like the responsibility of it, knowing that I’m there to make sure they’re well cared for, healthy, and content until their person comes home.
