What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been cat sitting about 3 years now and have experience with spicy kitties, shy kitties, vintage kitties, the gamet.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

The thing I enjoy most about cat sitting is winning a cats trust. Especially a shy, anti social or skiddish one. I seem to have a knack for relaxing spicy or shy cats and to me, that’s the highest compliment a human can be paid!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

My babies name is Kay as well. I did not name her, that was the name given to her at the shelter where she stole my heart.

Are you usually available during holidays?

My partner doesn’t celebrate most holidays so I am usually home and looking for things to love on since my family does live on the west coast and travel isn’t normally possible.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Shy babies I tend to let set the pace/rules of our interactions. I sit on the floor near them, keeping my movements slow. I also slow blink and keep my eyes semi closed and make a trail of treats to encourage a friendship until they are comfortable enough to come to me.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Kay. Our cats feeding times were not honored. Their feeding times is at 7 am and 7 p.m and they were not fed until 12 p.m. or 10 a.m. which caused them much distress, and I came home to urine and fecal matter. There also wasn't communication through the app to know check-in and check-out times, so I wasn't sure when she arrived and left until I reviewed our cameras. Overall, I had a very disappointing experience.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
