I have one male tuxedo cat. His name is Darwin. Prior to Darwin, I had Jack, Fudge, Christopher and Dan. :)
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Trust me to handle your furbaby with kindness and patience. I know it can be stressful on the human to leave your cat(s) in the care of a stranger, but I promise to treat your pets as my own and be on top of the communication and pictures to calm your mind and allow you to enjoy your time away.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I will visit your home and take the time to learn every detail of your routine to make sure your cat(s) feel a sense of normalcy while you are away.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Sometimes, just leaving the cat alone is what's best for them (at the time). Giving them space when they want it, is important. I will do my best to socialize with your cat, at their own comfort level, each time I visit.

Shannon provided excellent care of our cat when we were out of town for 10 days. She even took her to a scheduled vet appointment to receive fluids. She checked our cat thoroughly for injuries when our cat knocked a glass vase to the ground and it shattered. Her daily reports and photos were a pleasure to see each morning. Her communication was great if she had any questions about anything.. We had great peace of mind knowing our cat was in Shannon’s care.

Shannon was our first try at a new kitty-sitter since we moved to the area. Our 10yr old kitty has some special needs and therefore, requires a little more attention. Shannon was absolutely amazing from the moment we connected on Meowtel. Her responses were prompt. She took notes when she came to meet our fur baby. You might think that Shannon's reviews are too good to be true - but they are! During the meet and greet, it was clear that Shannon knew cats. She leaned down and made herself as small as possible. And I was shocked that one of my cats came out to see her! During the actual appointment, Shannon took care of our cats with the ultimate love and respect! Knowing that my girls were in her care really took a lot of stress off my shoulders! I knew they were in good hands with her! If you're considering Shannon, just do it. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Bradenton cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
