What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have always owned cats and have been professionally cat sitting for 5 years. I have experience with all ages of cats, from kittens to senior cats.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Cats are my passion! I love making sure they are well fed and well loved. I love playing with them and learning each cat’s demeanor.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

I love all cats so it’s hard to name a favorite. I once had a cat deliver 7 kittens unexpectedly on the second day of a 7 day sitting. I absolutely loved getting to take care of mom and the babies.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I currently have 2 cats. Mauser is a shy boy who is 7 years old. Mia is a playful and vocal 2 year old girl.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

When looking for the best cat sitter prioritize experience, reliability, and compatibility with your cat. Look for someone who understands cat behavior, can administer basic first aid, and is communicative.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I like to get to know both the pet parents and the cats. I like to know about any special requests and daily routines. Communication is key so I am sure to keep all lines open.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I make sure the cats are in a safe space for play and rest. I always double check doors to ensure they are fully closed and locked. I communicate any issues promptly with pet parents.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I am retired from my career and I am usually available on holidays. I make sure my calendar is up to date so unavailability is clear during the booking process.

What is your favorite cat toy?

My favorite cat toy is the red laser light. I love watching the kitties try and capture the light. I also like interactive toys so I can get cats moving.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I have a very timid cat so I understand some just need extra time to trust. I like to sit on the floor and calmly call the cat by name to come to me. Once we gain trust we become great friends.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
