I am a cat mom to two angel babies who passed away a little over a year ago (at 15 and 16) and being able to take care of your fur babies helps fill the paw-shaped holes in my heart... Meow there, fellow cat parents! It’s nice to meet you! I’m Angela, a life-long cat lover whose mission is to pet every cat on the planet. 🌎😻Some might say that’s impossible, but I always say, “I don’t care, I’m petting all the cats anyway!”
I am a cat mom to two angel babies who passed away a little over a year ago (at 15 and 16) and being able to take care of your fur babies helps fill the paw-shaped holes in my heart. Both of my cats had health conditions that required daily medications, and one of them was a chronic sneezer who, let’s just say, left his mark everywhere he went. I have plenty of experience with giving medication, caring for senior cats, and cleaning up various “cat spills” around the house.
I have been pet sitting part time for the past 5 years, so I understand how important it is to know your babies are safe and well taken care of. I send daily updates (with pictures!) and am happy to keep those strange pet rituals, only your cat does, going while you’re gone. 😹

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love getting to know new kitties. Young or old, they’re all so different, and few things bring me more joy than winning over the heart of a new kitty!
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes! I am lucky enough to live close to family, and have a flexible work schedule so I am often home and available during the holidays.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I especially love the shy babies! They just need some extra time and patience. I typically try to meet them where they are, and keep my demeanor quiet and calm until they are comfortable giving me a sniff. If they prefer not to be touched, I will still love them from afar!

This was the third time Angela took wonderful care of my two cats while I was away. One is on a prescription diet, and Angela was patient while monitoring their feeding time. She was also resourceful when I mistakenly left one’s food dish in another room. My cats were totally at ease when I returned home; they showed absolutely no signs of stress. I have complete peace of mind knowing that Angela will be taking care of my cats, in their own environment, while I’m away.

She was terrific. We had a last minute drastic change of plans and reached out to Angela about 12 hours before we were leaving town. She was amazing about coming over on short notice, meeting our kitties and getting to know them and their routines. Her visits were the best and she sent us tons of the best pictures. We could tell how good she was when we got home and our very high maintenance kitties were very calm and happy. We couldn't recommend Angela more highly and look forward to using her again.

Angela was incredible! She showed up on time every day, followed all instructions, and sent a photo after every visit. She communicated quickly and was patient with my kitty that doesn't always like other people. :) Also, my flight was cancelled and moved to the next day. Angela was flexible and extended the reservation for me with no issues! This was my first Meowtel experience and I will 100% use it and her again. Highly recommend!

Angela is wonderful! Both of our cats are not fans of other people and normally won't come out from hiding for a few visits. One didn't even hide and the other one came out before she left. Their feeding routine is a bit of a mess and Angela was great and did what they needed. Our babies have a new friend and caregiver.. we couldn't be happier!

The other one is perfectly happy when Angela comes in with treats and a brush! I trust her completely with my two ‘kids’. Angela was so attentive to our cats needs while we were gone. We have a couple shy/nervous cats and this was the first time we used a sitter that they weren’t already familiar with. They warmed up to her right away during her first visit. Cannot recommend Angela enough and will definitely be using her in the future for our cat sitting needs 😺

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Jacksonville cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $24.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

We love when Angela comes to let sit and so does our fur baby. He is all cuddles when she arrives.
